  1. I agree. I rarely eat out and I log my food on mfp. If u cook at home how hard is it to scan each item or look up veggies? I like it because I know what I'm putting into my body. Some things have more calories than you think so I log it to be sure.

    Very sharp chest pain

I talked to my lapband nurse and she thinks that I did too much too soon with my workout. I was pretty rigorous with my heart rate between 150 - 167. She said to relax and if its better by tomorrow then we know that's what it was but to go to the er if I start to struggle with breathing. My only concern Is that I did have leg pain after surgery and I thought they may have bruised me when I was moved to my recovery bed. But now I'm worried it was clots.
  3. I stopped having gas pains two weeks ago. Yesterday morning I started having chest pain on the left side. It hurts when I breath deep. I know they say to walk ... well I worked my butt off at the gym lastnight. No pain during the work out but once I got home it was back. And today I feel like someone is squeezing my heart. I take gas x too but man I feel like I can't function. Is it just gas or something more? I left a vm with the nurse and hope to hear back soon.

    Getting back on track

I'm a newbie so maybe I shouldnt comment but maybe start logging your food with my fitness pal. I didn't realize how many calories I was taking in until I logged it. A workout friend can help u get back to the gym or just out moving. Its easier for me to go when I have a buddy. . . Good luck!

    Surgery Scheduled for March

Banded 3-28-13...so far I've lost 16 lbs and 6 inches! I'm pretty stoked about what I've lost so far. Not feeling any restrictions so I'm really thinking before I eat and using that will power as much as possible. Will get a fill May 8th.

    tortillas?

Good to know. My Dr says no breads but I've heard that some people can have them. I figured a wrap would be better than a sandwich for that reason. Thanks for the feedback

    tortillas?

I know breads can be off limits for most. Does the same go for tortillas?
  10. I had the same feeling. It went away after 3 or 4 days.

    March 2013 Bandsters

That seems early for a fill. I was banded 3-28 and my fill appointment is May 8th. Every doctor is different but maybe that's why you had more pain.
  12. I had my 2 wk appointment today. So far I've lost 16 lbs. Ill go back in may and they will decide if I need a fill or not. Pretty happy with my weight loss so far
  13. Makes sense now why they didn't put any fluids in mine. Sorry to hear about the bad experiences I hope u both feel better soon!
  14. I've been really open with my coworkers. Some people try to keep it a secret but why lie when they asked how you lost weight? I have a couple of Co workers who have done it already so that helps too. Good luck on your first day back to work. Sounds like u are doing a great job so far!

    7 days in!

I was banded on the 28th too. I've been on clear liquids but today and tomorrow are full liquids then I can move to mooshie foods. This morning was my first protein shake so hopefully I don't have any problems with it.
