Anyone in Surprise or using True Results?
phxgirl replied to Bonniesue's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yep, having the same problem too. They supposedly have been hiring new people but things haven't changed. Waiting over a month for a fill is very discouraging to all of us because we are trying to make this work and hit the green zone. Maybe a call to corporate would work, not sure? -
Anyone in Surprise or using True Results?

Hi Everyone I've been on vacation for a while. Maintained my weight and lost a couple of lbs. on vacation. The best thing was that on this vacation, I fit so much better in the airplane seats and could buckle my seat belt with no effort! Two years ago when I went to Hawaii, I hid my seat belt area because I was too embarrassed that it didn't fit around me and buckle. It's these tiny victories that make you so excited! Going for my 3rd fill on Monday and hoping that I get some restriction. I haven't had much of anything yet. I know that I also have to get back into the gym. Being a teacher and being on summer break has caused me to be a little lazier and slack in the exercise department. Now that I'm done with vacation, routine will be starting Love reading everyone's posts. I'm learning so much from all of you! -

I'm feeling a little frustrated too. I've lost 23 lbs so far and I too feel like for as hard as I'm working, I could have done this without the band. My 2nd fill made things a little tighter but still not much restriction. I'm hoping things get moving too. I know this is not a quick process like a sleeve or gastric bypass but I was expecting a little more. On a good note, I'm feeling a lot better and clothes are getting bigger. I think I'm noticing a lot more in inches right now than I am on the scale

Doing ok too. Going for my second fill on Tuesday. I'm excited because I have absolutely no restriction. Hope everyone else is doing well especially the newly banded :-) -
Hi Everyone I have my second fill next week and I can't wait. I have no restriction at all. I've been really frustrated lately because my scale isn't moving. I've lost 21 lbs since surgery and hoping that with the next fill I will get some restriction. I'm really following the rules and am waiting for the scale to move. I know that my next step is to also be more consistent with exercise.

I'm finding it hard to not be discouraged either. I'm stuck right now and really need a fill. I can't get in until the end of May. They are so booked up I had to put myself on a cancelation list. I've only had one fill and I don't feel any restriction what so ever. I'm working hard at portion control and exercising but I'm only losing a few ounces to a pound here and there.

Thank you! Can always use a good recipe -
I have no info. on my mine either. When I go back for my fill I'm definitely finding this out.

I'm thinking you are fine. My doctor has never made any restrictions on coffee or tea. I drink coffee every morning.

27 days post op cant lay on my tummy
phxgirl replied to balbuquerque's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 27 days out too and I slept on my stomach for the first time last night. Things were ok for a while but I noticed that I woke up a lot to turn because it became uncomfortable. It's getting easier to sleep on my side and stomach but not completely comfortable yet, hopefully soon -

Hi there I was banded March 21st and I'm on your side of town too. I'm in Peoria. Hope everything is going well! -
I'm a little over three weeks since my surgery and my port pain finally has subsided. I was just just like you, thinking yes this pain is gone, then something else starts up. It will get better, just takes time Congratulations on starting this journey!

Hi Everyone! I was banded on 3/21/13 and am feeling great also! My port pain is finally gone too! I had my first fill last Thursday, and still really don't feel any restriction. I know they say it sometimes takes a few times to hit the "green zone" but I thought I'd feel a little something. Anyways, I'm learning to make better food choices and incorporating exercise now. Looking forward to more weight loss and a healthy life!

Have my post-op appointment and hopefully my first fill today. I'm scared to death about this, but know I need it because I'm about to chew off my arm
-
I was the same way. My surgery was my first real surgery as well. I'm 2 1/2 weeks post-op and the surgery itself was a piece of cake. My uncomfortable moments were from the gas they fill you with before they get in there. It took me almost two weeks to feel better and finally feel that it was all gone. I have my post-op appointment this week and maybe my first fill. We have a long road ahead of us but with this lap band as a tool, we can do it!

Hi Everyone Banded on March 21st and starting to feel a lot better. I'm starting the mushies stage, finally ditching the soup broth! Any good ideas/recipes for this stage? Also, one other question. When does this port pain subside a bit? I have post-op in about two weeks and a little scared that if it is still this tender, how can I get a fill?
-
I have a question for anyone who has already been banded. Did anyone experience a cramp in their side that really bothers them when they try to sit down or get up? This cramp is like a stitch in your side you get from walking a lot or running. The cramp isn't really near any of the incisions but it a constant cramp and wasn't sure if this is normal. Thanks

Day 2 Post-Op for me. A lot of discomfort on my port side. Getting in bed and sitting down is a little tricky. RIght now ice chips are a life saver for the dry throat. I'm not getting in a ton of fluid either right now. Sipping at water and tea. I'm really excited I decided to take this step

Keep me posted on how things are going. I have my pre-op appt. tomorrow and then banded on Thursday

I have surgery in 4 days and I'm starting to get nervous. I've been looking forward to this for two months but now that it's almost here, I'm starting to get really nervous. I know this is the best choice and I'm looking forward to this journey. I'm just feeling a little unprepared

I'm on the Pre-Op too. Not enjoying it at all. I actually look forward to Rotisserie Chicken I'm also trying out different flavors and variations of protein shakes.
