Hey Everyone...I am a type II Diabetic and I take my fasting sugar every morning and before the pre op diet my sugars were around 113-124 and now that I am on the pre-op diet with bariatric advantage my sugar levels have been between 136-144...is this normal?...I called my doctor but he said to speak to the surgeon and the surgeon said to speak to my primary?!...I mean I am not freaking out because its not that high but still...doesn't seem right...

Hey guys just wanted to know if anyone was from westchester county in NY or having surgery in stamford CT. It would be great to meet some people around here.

I feel like I'm snacking too much like on reduced fat cheez-it's and Greek yogurt and babybel cheese with turkey pepperoni idk what to eat Idk if I am ok with this or if it's bad I only consume about 450-700 calories a day I don't eat veggies because idk if I can or what kind to eat and I been eating gluten free pasta literally a bite and I'm full and I eat turkey meatballs...ugh

i was sleeved march 7th so im about 2.5 weeks out

How many grams of protein are we supposed to have a day?

I'm still on liquids but I had a string cheese low fat n yogurt n 2 really small pieces of wanton from the soup I don't know if I'm supposed to be on protein my surgery was march 7th I go to the dr tomorrow is anyone on vitamins?

The pain comes and goes I threw up once this morning n the switched me off the morphine it was too strong and have been walking around..they did the leak test n that liquid was nasty! They haven't put me on any liquids yet so now I'm just waiting to get my oz of juice every hour

Omg I'm so exited not nervous yet but excited! I her to leave at 5:30am because the weather in NY is going to be horrible and I have to drive half hour and be there at 7am I rather be safe than sorry but any who I'm happy!!!

I have PCOS and am getting sleeved 3-7 and my Fiance and I are planning to get pregnant next year..I dont want to go on birth control because thats what caused me to gain weight...Dont know what to do

HI!!...SO I AM THINKING ABOUT TRAVELING TO TEXAS TO VISIT SOME FAMILY AFTER SURGERY LIKE 4 WEEKS OUT DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I AM ABLE TO GO ON A PLANE THAT EARLY?

The Reason I ask is because I will be going to see family in Texas and North Carolina and I want to know whether or not I should book the trips

No I am not adding anything to the shakes just drinking that and the bars I dont know its strange...

Did anyone drink the Special K protein shake for pre op diet...I am drinking bariatric advantage and can only drink 4oz a day its that nasty....anyone have any other suggestions?

Omg I was finally approved from insurance so my surgery is finally in three weeks March 7th!!! OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!

Thanks everyone!! Good luck on getting approved just be patient it will happen and you will be so happy! I was declined 3 times an kept at it!

And our surgery is march 7th as well hopefully if I get approved she already got approved.

Hey guys!! I live in white plains and been going to greenwhich and Stamford for appointments I'm in the process of getting approved by insurance they had to Appeal but my sister and I are supposed to have surgery the same day in Stamford.

I have Cigna with a BMI of 50.4 and have PCOS and just found out I have type 2 diabetes N was declined...but they said it was because no other physician wrote a letter besides my surgeon. My surgeons office sent in my paper work again hopefully I get approved. Crossing my fingers

Hi everyone my surgery was pushed to March 7th and I am nervous but I also upset because my doctor told me that I may be a diabetic my blood sugar was 225 today but the good news is a lot of people have said wls reverses diabetes...just a little scared I am doing this surgery to be healthy..my sister is getting it done the same day and I am happy to have her by my side to help me with everything...I have told my bf and he wasn't supportive at first but after this morning when I told him I might have diabetes he's happy I'm getting the surgery because he wants me to be healthy. I really like this forum I feel like I can just let go..
