Hi everyone I got my first fill Sept 10 2013 and I get full with small amounts , I went to the Dr. today and was told I'm not eating enough calories , even though I'm eating 2-3 meals and 2 snacks. I don't want to go over my calorie intake I've set for myself, I also don't want to feel extremely full , it doesn't feel good at all. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi all thanks for responding. My Calorie goal is 1200 , I eat like 800-900 calories a day , I get full fast since my fill. But yesterday I was told that's not enough and when I'm not hungry I should still eat to meet a certain amount of calories . It's so weird to me...

This recipe was shared , so im sharing Preparation time: 15 minutes Cooking time: 40 minutes 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts 4 oz pepper jack cheese, shredded (you can use up to 6 oz) 1 c frozen spinach, thawed and drained (you can also use fresh cooked spinach) 2 tbsp olive oil 2 tbsp GF Cajun seasoning Sea salt, to taste Freshly ground black pepper, to taste Lots of toothpicks Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Flatten the chicken to 1/4-inch thickness. In a medium bowl, combine the pepper jack cheese, spinach, salt and pepper. Spoon about 1/4 c of the spinach mixture onto each chicken breast. Roll each chicken breast tightly and fasten the seams with several toothpicks. Typically about 8 toothpicks are used in each roll to ensure none of the filling seeps out. Be sure to count how many total toothpicks were used. Brush each chicken breast with the olive oil. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning evenly over all. Sprinkle any remaining spinach and cheese on top of chicken (optional). Place the chicken seam-side down onto a tin foil-lined baking sheet (for easy cleanup). Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through. Remove the toothpicks before serving. Count to make sure you have removed every last toothpick.

Do you count calories or just watch what you eat?
MzChar replied to katspaw's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Both, but I did notice when I was just counting calories I didn't lose as much as I did when I count and watch what I eat. Right now I'm at 1200 cals a day, depending on the item, I'm very satisfied with that amount. As far as MFP , their suggestions for the calorie intake will have you gaining weight, because it told me to do 2400, but I'm like umm no Ty , so I adjusted the cal intake within the app to my goal... Good luck with your weight loss and remember its a life style change, the more you adapt to it the better it will be -
Ok, heres another Recipe. I love Mushrooms so when this was shared with me, I was Ecstatic, lol. Add garlic and saute for about 4 minutes. Add mushrooms, saute for another 2 minutes, then add balsamic. Sauté until mushrooms are cooked, usually another 3-4 minutes, add parsley and serve! You are not alone I was Banded March 18,2013 , weighed 324. Two weeks post op I had only lost 3 lbs, weighed in at 321. Since then I gained 9 lbs, now I'm down 4 lbs. I like you hope this is normal...

Today I had my first post op Dr's Appointment Where I was told that I only lost 1 pound which according to my scale I lost a total of three I know everyone is different is this normal because I was told that I was supposed between 7 to 10 pounds ... I did everything according to my doctors orders Pertaining to my diet nothing but Protein shakes broth Jell-O which is nasty and Water and Plain tea with no sugar... Has anyone else had this experience ? Or has my body just plateaued ? One part of me feels very disappointed while the other part of me feels I still accomplished something by losing the 3 pounds I did lose.. I just wish sometimes that theseDrs. and Nurses can be more understanding about what we're going through as overweight individuals.... Sorry for ranting I just had to let lose somewhere . ???‘ Char doing things on her iPad ✨
