I'm glad to hear the fill is no big deal, but I go for that upper GI barium swallow tomorrow. The doctor said I need that before each fill. Does everyone else have to do that?

I have my 1st fill next Thursday (Dec. 18th), but I have to go for an upper GI barium swallow tomorrow. Is that usual? Also, what is the green zone?

I had my surgery on 11/12/14 without incident. When I saw the surgeon on 11/20, he told me to start complicating my diet with soft foods like fish, cottage cheese and yogurt. The fish is fine, but I'm lactose intolerant (and Lactaid doesn't work for me). I have a couple of calls into the nutritionist at his office, but she hasn't got back to me yet. I had a small tilapia fillet over the weekend a a couple to tbls. of tuna with no problem (except learning to eat slower), but I'm not sure what else to try next. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Leepers. I settled for a little tomato soup tonight and another tbl of hummus. I think I'm coming up short on protein for the day, but I'm too full for another shake. Blending food doesn't appeal much to me either. I'm glad to know this phase is a short one. I may try a scrambled egg tomorrow.

I'm going to try yogurt tonight and see what happens. I also had a tbl. of hummus at lunchtime that went down well. I've got 3 calls into the nutritionist at my doctor's office, but she still hasn't got back to me. Thanks for the help!

I'm not sure where to go from here. I can't live on fish. Are there vegetables I can try this early in the process? Is soup ok? Chicken breast? I'm still drinking protein shakes, but I need something that's not sweet.

I probably should have posted this on the post-op forum. Sorry.
