Happy Birthday Angie--who knew we had the same birthday??? What time of day were you born? Who is older? I was born at 0820 am--a scheduled C-section! My mother just could not get over how "beautiful and round" my head was (this after my squished sister three years prior! ha!) If I have heard that story once, I have heard it a zillion times! Hope you have a great day!!!

Thank you! Nothing special planned for today except going to the gym to have a session with the personal trainer! Thank you for the birthday greetings!!!!!

OIOOOOOH! you are sooooo lucky! I am jealous! You must tell us when the show is to air, so we can watch for you! I have always wanted to go see her show in person. I love her! You are a lucky duck! Have fun!

I have a digital scale --one of those with the big digital numbers that haunt your soul when they flash bright red everyday........but recently we have gone thru a TON of batteries for the scale--seems the cat (he's fat, too) has taken a liking to sitting on the scale for hours at a time......guess that runs thru the battery if it blinks 17.8 pounds for hours on end..... I didn't replace the battery the last time this happened and now the scale just blankly mocks me when I go in the bathroom. I still hate it.

I had an AI (artificial insemination) baby with donor sperm. I am FOREVER grateful to the man who made my gorgeous, funny, smart and happy little boy possible. That being said, there is no question about who his DADDY is--my husband. They love each other so much and their devotion to each other is amazing. Like they just allow me to live here with them. Perhaps one day your husband will rethink his position on sperm donors, if there is nothing else that can help the situation you are now in. We worked with Cryogenic Lab in Minnesota and were lucky on the first try. We were offered all kinds of extraordinary options that cost more money than we would ever have and might not work. We decided to go with what we knew would work, and ultimately give us what we wanted--a healthy baby. I come from a long line of adoptions and "merged" families, so I am accustomed to non-biological links between people I love. Hugs to you both. Stay strong for each other and remember to TALK about this. -
I have a Minolta Z2 Dimage. LOVE it!

Well, my mother announced that we were NOT exchanging presents this year. OK, well she brought over a bunch of presents for my son, didn't wait for him to open them, just left. She smuggled in a small package for me--ooooh, can't wait to open it.....4 coupons for almost free latte's at a local drive thru coffee place. I mean, if you aren't going to do it, dont do it. And if you DO DO it, do it well, or at least with a tiny bit of thought. I don't drink coffee. -
oh! I LOVE the Melting Pot! My husband, son and I go there when ever we can--we get the big night out and split it by three--YUM! They just opened one recently in Appleton so we try to get there when we can. Now checking calender to see when we can go next.......

People will say some of the most candid, rude things to you---all you can do is blow it off. I know many people know I have the band and this one chick at work WEEKLY has some snide comment or question regarding my weight loss. She is no skinny mini, so I decided that she is jealous. I am being so nice to her because I know she is trying to get a reaction from me. not gonna happen! I would just mention to that gal who was rude to you that it isn't a RACE and everyone loses at different rates. then smile! Good luck!

Oh Penni--I am so sad to hear your news! Thinking of you! ((Hugs)) Kimberly PS has anyone heard anything post op???

My DH's father was a really neat guy. He and my DH and my BIL worked in the woods (they are loggers) pretty much up until right before my FIL passed away. He was vibrant, funny and my DH ADORED him. Our son was born in July and everyday my DH would pack up the baby and go down to his dad's for coffee and a chat. At this point in time, my FIL was starting to get sick and was weak, but still denying anything was wrong.....one day, I heard a car honking it's horn in the driveway. I looked out and it was my FIL. My DH was in the woods, so I went out to see what he needed. He said he was feeling weak, but wanted to come see the baby. I brought the baby out and we sat in the truck and he just held the baby and talked to him--all kinds of nonsense and funny stuff. After that, his health really took a turn for the worse and my DH was absolutely beside himself with grief. I didn't know what to do for him. It was a terrible time. When FIL died, my DH was just a walking shell of who he once was. It changed him. We had a few bags of my FIL's clothes in bags in the house, and I didn't know what to do with them, so I put them in the shed. Never discussed where they were with my DH. Winter time came and it was just cold and snowy and there wasn't much to do.....For Valentine's day, I got my son's babysitter (who is our neighbor) to take all the sweaters, cut them up and make a heavy sweater quilt for DH. She called my one night and said it was done and could I run down and get it--I literally snuck out of the house and ran down the street in my boots, a slip and my winter coat so DH wouldn't know I was gone! The sweater quilt is beautiful and when I gave it to DH, he instantly knew what it was, cried and said it was the best present he ever got. We still have it, of course and that is the best gift I ever gave anyone.

Well, this is really a two-in-one NSV.... I buy alot of my clothes at the local thrift store. My DH and I went there looking for a pair of pants and he said--"hey you should go over and look at the blazers--they are free today". I made a face--like, how good can they be if they are free???, but I trotted over there anyway. Lo and behold, I found a bright red ST JOHN blazer--size 16 and it fits me like it was MADE for me! WOoooohooo! Then, I decided I needed something decent to wear with my new fance schmanctzy blazer, I walked into our higher end ladies's shop (where before, I couldn't fit into anything they sold) and the sales lady asked me what I was looking for. I told her I needed a pair of dressy black slacks. She asked what size and I said 16. She brought me a pair and they were way too big! She brought me a 14--TOO BIG! She brought me a 12 and they fit (but are miles tooo long)! A 12!. I haven't done anything spectacular in the arena of actual pounds lost in the last few weeks--so this just proves that if you are moving, your shape WILL change! A 12! Still can't believe that! I was very hypoglycemic before getting my band. A real roller coaster of blood sugar which was one of the reasons why I ended up getting the band--I could see that it wasn't going to get better on it's own. Not one hypoglycemic episode since being banded. Not one. I feel so much better--I eat better combinations of foods in small amounts. concentrating on Protein first, of course.

I was just wondering--saw them in a store and didn't know what they were, then watching Oprah's jeans and bra revolution show yesterday, she said she wears them..... Anyone try them? Like em? Hate em? I think I need em!

I have a big white kitty named "Kitty Kitty"--my son (age 2 at the time) named him and we are so unoriginal, it stuck. He is an Olympic level napper and doesn't like the sun in his eyes. Poor spoiled thing!

Here's a link if you wanna check them out....I saw them in a Torrid store (don't know what my square, boring ass was doing in there, but I did see Spanx there!). www.spanx.com

Well, I just decided I am going to get three of the styles and see how much better I look. I do have an all in one bra thing that I wear, and it makes me look soooo much better than if I am just in my undies and regular bra, but wowza, I can't wait to get home and get out of that thing at the end of the day! It's like "BOING!!!!!!!!!!" Have to carefully explain to DH that I want Spanx for Christmas---ha ha ha ha
