Thanks for all the replies. Your words are helpful and kind. I know that if getting the lapband, its not a quick fix. And that's something I want. I don't wanna do something drastic and quick and it ends up hurting me in the long run. I can give up foods....its like I've not tried it already lol.... I guess my biggest fear is going in and getting the band in place. Never did well with anesthesia and it seems like with the last 4 surgeries I've had, there has always been complications and my stays would be longer in the hospital. Maybe I should just shake the feeling off. That's my biggest fear.... The only fear I have right now after I get banded and if I get banded is my body not accepting the new change and rejecting the band.

I'm at a good point in my life....besides the health and weight issue. I know it mine and my decision alone to make. Its just scary venturing out into unknown parts. Where I live its uncommon for people to do weight loss surgery. Some people do it to look better..... I want to do it to look and feel better. I want to make this decision for me and myself. I have already requested the kit online. There is a seminar this Saturday so hopefully I will have all the info I need and have all my questions answered..... Thank you for your inputs so far.

I have my seminar date coming up. Kinda scared and excited at the same time. Part of me wants to go through with this and then another part of me wants to run and hide from it. I've had my fair share of health problems and I'm just afraid that alone will keep me from having the surgery. Then there is alsoy insurance. I called my carrier and the lady told me they would cover it if the doctor builds a case on why I need the surgery.... What if my doctor don't think I need it. Ugh what to do....what to do. Any words or thoughts would be helpful.
