Looking for a Houston, texas group
Lady VS replied to fashionstylist's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hey there lady. I just replied to ask you how you were doing in another forum so just disregard it as I now know. Anyway being a patient at True Results for 2 and half years, you are not going to feel that restriction just yet. It took several fills before I did. When I say several I mean at least a couple more after this one you just received. Fish, lettuce and tomato salad, grilled, baked, or boiled chicken are the favorites they like to see when you fill out your form. Cottage cheese is good if you like with strawberry or other flavorings. I buy them at the 99 cents only stores and actually noticed Walmart carries them too. You definitely can't go wrong with your fruits and veggies particularly greens or cabbage if you like those and broccoli. If you like beef meat, limit it to once a week. I eat more ground meat than steak or roast which I love. It is easier to swallow. Try not to eat too many carbs as I did. They always fussed me for that to the point they flat out told me no more carbs. I listened and it worked but this week I have been slowly introducing some carbs back in my diet. Meaning I have eaten a table spoon and a half of rice with a spoonful of gravy with my meat in which I eat my meat first. I also had a spoonful of corn. I also had a piece of cornbread that my mom cooked as well. It was so good. I had forgotten what it tasted like because I had eaten it in so long. I have learned that once I give myself my carb of pleasure, I don't want it anymore. Today I have only eaten oatmeal for breakfast and two pieces of chicken for lunch. Yes two but nothing else. I will have my veggies for dinner later. Sometimes I can eat them all at one meal and other times I have to break them up in different meals. Today is one of those days. As time goes by, you will learn your bodies behaviors. It's weird. -
True Results houston - share your experience
Lady VS replied to fashionstylist's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Fashionstylist. How are things going? -
Your doctor and or nutritionist should have provided you with that information but 60 to 80 is the norm. Good luck.
-
Hi there. I have a 10cc band also and I am at 6.7cc. I am in the green zone finally meaning I stay satiated for 3 to 4 hours without being hungry. I was snacking in between meals but not anymore.
-
Sometimes, that's all it takes. Glad to know it worked. Continued success.
-
Too funny. Tell your son to take you shopping. Congrats on the weight loss.

Hi there. Not everyone gets stuck on the foods you mentioned above; however, some people do and some don't. That being said, I do believe it happens after being filled and we forget to chew our food until it is mushy. This has happened to me a few times. It is not a great feeling. I can eat all the foods you have mentioned with no trouble if I chew, chew, chew. Good luck to not getting stuck.

Revision Surgery; Weight Maintained
Lady VS replied to ChrissyHeart's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I too am curious as well. If you don't mind sharing, what was the need for the second band especially since you have lost 60 pounds in three months. That is awesome. It took me well over a year to lose that amount of weight. -
Great, now keep going.
-
Awesome!!! Keep up the good work.

What not to say to somebody who is getting a band...
Lady VS replied to Terry Poperszky's topic in Rants & Raves
Gotta share this one from church this past Sunday. This lady whom I like told me if I lose anymore weight I was going to fly away lol. Isn't that hilarious??? Omg too funny!! -
who lets out a loud burp after eating???
Lady VS replied to ladyjordan's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
That is funny. I hope it gets better for you. Lol -
I totally understand. I can't wear any of my rings either. They arrange in sizes from a 5 1/2 to a 7 because that was the different sizes of my fingers. Well they are all now a 4 to 4 1/2. I haven't tried to get them sized yet. It is a great feeling though. I actually just want new rings. LOL

Banding abbreviations...
Lady VS replied to Iwilldothis2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks. I have been trying to figure out what PBing is also but was afraid to ask. LOL -
Oh Wow! That is wonderful. I'm glad to hear that. Congratulations and take care.

I'm not a big lover of exercise either. We have a treadmill in the house and I rarely get on it. But I do every now and again. I have osteo so I could only do water aerobics but since I have lost 80 pounds, I decided to try and ride the bicycle. Something I used to do a lot before gaining all that weight. To my surprise I can actually ride. Wow! What a feeling. I ride just about everyday. I guess what I'm trying to say is, maybe the elliptical is not for you. Try and figure out what other exercise you like and just do it. I'm an educator too so I understand what you mean regarding the stress of trying to get things up and running so that is why it is important to find something to help eleviate the stress. Good luck and just make up your mind and do it.

Lady VS replied to tigers1998's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Tigers1998. Your story sounds very similar to my own. I am so glad that you are recovering well from your first surgery ever. I have had too many to count and I hope that this Lapband is my last surgery ever. hahaha Anyway, congratulations to a new you. I can't wait to hear about your "firsts". It is going to be so exciting. -
water after being banded
Lady VS replied to Adrienne21's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Ditto what everyone else have said. If you feel like you can drink more, then keep on sipping. Good luck. -
Hi there. You said you had to have surgery. What type of surgery if you don't mind sharing and why isn't your band in the correct position?
-
I know exactly how you feel. Doesn't it feel good to know that you can fit a smaller size even though we are still thinking larger? Congrats to you.

Hynita, just wondering how are things going for you with the sleeve?
