    when we look

Whip, I have always been told I look younger than I am. (wonderful) maybe it is because I am a laugher. I have always tried to be as cheerful as I can be. As a result I don't have frown lines. One of the best compliments I have ever received in my life was , " you have smiling eyes. I'll bet you are a warm person." I really like that. Maybe I am a warm person.

This is at my neice's wedding. My grandson, (ring bearer) told this precious little girl, "Would you just come on and quit throwing out those flowers?" We Laughed our ass off. He kept walking ahead of her, told her she was too slow... She on the other hand put out one petal at a time, slooooooowly... She already has it down. It totally ticked him off. They are both 5...lol

  12. OK, I am blunt, and you asked. I mean this with no disrespect. I care. Let me stress this... WAKE THE HELL UP.... If you love that band so much, choose #2. Take ALL the fill out. Let it rest. You will not gain all your weight back in one month. My friend did this exact same thing................ Hers went right back into place, everything is ok. First of all, your surgeon should have never let "you" tell "him" how much to put in at the first. Gradually creeping up on this restriction is the "ONLY' way to do it. You have to learn how to use this band, you have to learn what to do with each level of restriction and that is probably why you slipped in the first place. Your hubby means well, but that is NOT the right answer unless you want to give the band back. Please listen to us..... You are ok now, but if you don't do something the chances are greater that you will have more problems. Now quit piddling around and do something. Take all the fill out...........Now........... By the way, did I mention I care? I really do.. but you must listen.

 Had this long post, with one of my babies posted and my damn computer froze... Not typing all that again. I was telling Lisa, it took 2 years before I got PG with my first, only after I lost 50 lbs, then #2 came along wham..... but then I remarried and it took 5 years and I lost about 55 lbs this time. So maybe losing weight will work...

I'll bet the men on this board can't wait until their wives go to bed, or leave the room, so they can check out the conversation these nutty women have. I can just visualize them smiling and sitting at the computer.. Then, I'll just bet after all this sex, positions, and all the "sex" talk, they have little wild romps with mama and she never knows what started it. :D She thinks shes sexy.....and he can't keep his hands off her.....

    Who is losing more???

Don't stop now tell us more.............nosy here.... of course I don't have any family like that!
  17. I DITTO WHAT LEATHA SAYS...YOU ARE PLAYING WITH FIRE. IF YOU TRULY LOVE YOUR BAND, GET IT UNFILLED. IT IS BETTER THAN LOSING IT.
  18. KIM To view my before and after pix go to l. lapbandtalk.com Forums at the top, 2. then to : Introductions 3. Pictures of Terry Evans (sascijo) I hope it shows you how much a person can change with the band. My daughter had the surgery the same day as I . She didn't have near as much to lose so she has lost slower. She looks amazing now. When I get time, I am going to post some personal pictures of hers at the same site.
  19. Kim, I am not going to lie to you. I have had my band for 1 yr. 3 mos. I probably need a fill, cause I can tell that I am eating more. I was VERY disappointed at first in the band. I did not lose, I gained the 1st month. I had no restriction. But nobody does the 1st month. I was the 3rd patient my doctor did on the band. He was a very good surgeon and had done many laproscopic surgeries, but only 2 bands. However, my band has been scoped twice in a year and it is perfect. So...... what I wanted to tell you is, I was disappointed in how slowwwwwwwwwwww I thought the weight came off. I wanted the band to do it all honestly.... hard to admit, but I did. I knew that in gastric bypass you had no choice but to eat small amounts. But I didn't like the death rate and the fact my insides would be cut and thrown in the trash and my colon re-routed to my new tiny tummy. With this one, If I change my mind, it can be taken out and I am the same as before except for 5 small cuts on my belly. So I chose this. EVERYONE, was losing so well on this but me... I didn't understand (wasn't told actually) the procedure about how I had to wait until sutures healed to get a fill. When I did, he gave me 2 cc's to start. I still didn't feel much restriction. It took about 4 fills ... But when it happened , it happened... and I understood. I am not unhappy with my choice. I am 5'2", I started at 301, I now weigh 210. I have actually gained a little. It is true. You do have to watch what you eat, but it is not that hard because you get full so much easier than before. I look like a different person. In fact I posted pictures on this site of me. Go look. I can't remember what it says. I think before and after pics of Terry Evans. I will try to figure it out and post and tell you how to get there. My life has changed and I am so very, very, very, happy. Terry Did I mention I am HAPPY?
  20. One of my friends was doing what you are, they found a slight slippage, the doc removed "ALL" of her fill for a month or two, and it corrected itself. He then put it back slowly. You would rather "maintain" than to lose it completely. Sometime you have choices to make you don't like. I agree with Leatha, Get thee to a doctor, don't try to make the decisions for him. Please don't get mad at that, the band may have to be removed if it start to erode. Every reflux you have does damage to the esophogus and they won't place a band if you have very bad damage in the beginning. I know cause I had it, and they made me do a lot of tests to see why and what the damage was. Let us know what you find out. Please.... we care
  21. I have one thing to add... I know 2 people that have had gastric by pass. They have done very well... They are at the beginning of their journey. Both have lost around 140 lbs in 5 - 6 months. Their skin is awful saggy. But thats ok, they are feeling better etc. I have to admit to being jealous.. Now for the reason I am typing this. I know of 2 more ladies that had gastric bypass. BOTH of have regained all of their weight and more. One got down to a normal size and is now over 400 lbs. Also, the statistics when I had the band were, 1 in 200 die of gastric bypass, 1 in 10,000 of lapband. They were not even sure of the 10,000, because there are so few deaths. Most are contributed to being too overweight, or other medical problems. Not the band. Gastric people also have problems with what they can eat, especially sugar. We can usually eat anything. Just my 2 cents.
