I am doing their meal plan but I had radioactive iodine treatment to fix my thyroid on 4/4 and it makes me gain weight. I went to my endocrinologist yesterday and she was amazed that I hadn't gained 30lbs in the 8 weeks since treatment. I gotta lose these pounds before the 24th or I fear I'll never get a date :-(

My 1 on 1 went good with the nutritionist. She said I need to up my dairy intake and that I need to go back on the 24th. With my food log. Any idea how many times I must do this? I have dr O'Malley . Input would be great. Thanks

I already got the clearance paper from the nut dr. Thank god!! I can't wait until Monday for the 1 on 1 with the nutritionist. I'm hoping to find something out. I wish I were a more patient person, but I am so ready for this!

This is what I've had done so far : Ok here is what I've had so far: 3/13 dr suggested seminar 3/28 seminar 4/15 mental health (cleared) 4/16 gynecologist (cleared) 4/19 my dr (referred) 4/19 nutritional group seminar (make diary of food) 4/25 mammogram (physician required) 4/27 I had physical and history. Then on may 20 I have a 1 on 1 with a dietician. I have BCBSIL. I called my insurance early on and they didn't say I needed anything other than what my physician and Dr. O 'Malley require so hopefully that means I'll get a date soon too. Oh and I was smoking, so I have to be 6 weeks smoke free ( next week!!) then I take the blood test. I can't wait I'm getting impatient! Lol!

No I dont have my date yet. i have my 1on 1 with the dietician on 5/20. Do I meet the Dr after that? I'm having Dr O'Malley for surgeon also at highland! I've done everything on their list. They haven't said when I meet with the Dr. Did it take long after you seen dr to get your date? Sorry I'm rambling, I'm just excited!

I am so excited to become part of the losers group! Just wondering how much longer this process is. The insurance said all they require is 5 yrs of failed diet attempts from dr...that's done too. Sorry if I'm rambling. This is a big year for my family, my oldest son graduates in June and leaves for the Air Force in aug. just trying to figure out the timing. I would appreciate anyone's input on the next steps, like when do I meet the surgeon and set the big date! Lol ! Thanks all!

It can also affect the eyes, causing bulging eyes (exophthalmos). It affects other systems of the body, including the skin, heart, circulation and nervous system. Yes my Dr says it's a great idea. I have a 2nd opinion on Tuesday . I just know there's been some people that have had it done with graves. I was hoping there were some people on here with some information from their own experience on here to give me some insight. Thanks!

Hi all! I'm new to this. I'm considering the lap band. My first seminar is on the 28th. I have Graves' disease , so I'm wondering if I should even bother? But.... My sleep apnea is pretty bad and I've heard really good things about it helping people with that. I have been overweight for 19 years and I feel horrible about it and I think I've pretty much tried every diet known to mankind! My husband wants to renew our vows on our 25th wedding anniversary ( 5 yrs) I can't imagine being like this and feeling very good about it. I would appreciate any kind of advice. Thank you
