I too am struggling, I keep loosing a few pounds then gain them back. I am seriously thinking about doing hCG just to get over this hump. Has anyone tried that diet in conjunction with the lap-band? Is it even possible to do together? I was banded 2 years ago and have lost 65 lbs, and want to loose 40 more. I do exercise 4-5 days per week, but my eating habits have gotten bad again, so if I could do the strict hCG diet then maybe I could kick my but back into gear... any toughts?

Would you do it again?

Hi! I was self pay and it was soooooooo worth it. I was banded 1 year ago and I have lost about 60 lbs and I am still losing! (any other diet I would have lost some weight and given up by now and gained it all back and more, right ladies?):blushing: But with this tool (the band) I have hope and faith that I WILL continue to lose weight and reach my goal weight. Only 40 more pounds! This was the best $15,000 I ever spent! I would do it again in a heart beat! -
My weight loss ticker has disappeared, how doe I get it back? I am not very computer literate... Thanks for anyones help.

Hi, I dont know what size my band is, I go back to the dr in a week and a half and I will find out. But the 1.4 cc I have now does give me some restriction but not enough, I have to force myself to stop eating, I can still eat more than a cup of food... So hopefully I will get better restriction at my next visit. Good luck with your next fill, let me know how it goes. Bobbi

Hi everyone - this seems like a great group of people! I have posted a few times but I cant seem to keep track of the previous threads and then I'm lost again... I just need to keep checking things out I'm sure I'll figure out how the system works. I was banded 3/12/07 in Utah and I had my second fill Wed. I now have 1.4 cc in my band and I do feel some restriction... I think, but I havent really eaten too much, I'm terrified of sliming and throwing up (I have not done either of those yet) Well I look forward to reading your posts and learning more anout all of you.

I now have 1.4 cc in my band. Lost 30 lbs so far... Yeah. Surgery date March 12 2007. I'll be back. Take care everyone!

Hi everyone, I'm from Utah...well not from but I have lived here for the last 15 years. I was banded march 12 and I had my 2nd fill yesterday and I am a little sore, but it could be from the disaster at my Salon last night... toilet exploded! So on hands and knees scrubbing and cleaning up crap, literally and whatever else and had to pay a plumber! Anyway today will be better, I'll be on liquid in AM and soft foods until tomorrow. but I have lost 30 lbs and hope to loose more with my latest fill, 1st one didnt do much so now I have 1.4cc I look forward to getting to know you all! -
My port hurts in the evenings if I have sone too much during the day... but it seems to be hapening less and less. I guess that means I'm healing. Yeah! Now I just cant wait to get my first fill... boy do I need it. Take care everyone and have a great day!

I agree needing a fill is depressing, I have gained back 4 lbs and that was of a few days ago... who knows how much more I have gained! :angry I get my 1st fill in 1 week and a half! I really need it now. I hope that I get good restriction with my 1st fill, some poeple take several fills to get good restriction... but for now I just want to eat everything I can get my hands on!:hungry: I know I need to have patience but it is so hard! I guess I better start walking more...:faint: Well Tomorrow I will try to eat better and exercise! Good bye for now! I'm going to bed!:notagree

Hi Wen Boy thats a tough decision...to have insurance pay or self pay... I decided to have my surgery in Feb and I knew my ins. wouldnt pay so I knew I would have to pay and once I decided that - I wanted the surgery immediately. (I had done some research about the surgery for a year or so) So I just went for it had the surgery march 12 and I am soooo happy I had it done, it has changed my life... it is still work but I am hopeful for the first time in a long time. plus I have lost 20 + pounds! So I dont know what I would have done if my ins. would have paid if I had to wait 6 months.... I probably still would have self paid. (I am not very patient) But I am now on the road to a healthy life.. 6 months is not an eternity to wait but ,you must decide what is right... but either way the surgery is a good thing, at least it is for me. Take care & good luck
