  1. I went for my second fill today. My paperwork said that I had 2cc's in my band but when the doctor emptied it, I had 6.25cc's!!! He asked me why I was getting a fill when I have been losing weight and I told him I thought I needed one because I was still eating more then I should be (I would eat the proper amount of protein then eat a bunch of salad or veggies until I was satisfied). I think it was more mental though, thinking that I needed a second fill because I thought I was only at 2cc's and how could I already be at the green zone after 1 fill?? I think it was all in my head. Well he emptied the 6.25cc's and bumped it up to 6.5cc's. Nope! The white stuff they make you drink would not go through at all!He had to empty it again and he put the 6.25 back in. Looks like I was at my green zone all along... Although now I am scared it might be too tight because of air bubbles. When I drink I feel like there is gas trapped under the water. What happens if it is too tight? Will I know right away? I'm so nervous now that something is wrong!

    Coughing after a fill?

After my surgery I started having these big dry coughs but it wouldn't happen too frequently (I'd say maybe 2 times a day...), but I got my first fill yesterday and I've been having those same kind of coughs all day yesterday and today. Has anyone else experienced this??

    Fill amounts?

I'm so confused when I see everyone's fill amounts! I just don't understand how some people can be ok with 2-3 cc's and some people have 9 cc's... I don't want it to take such a long time to find my green zone if I am one of those people that need 9ccs!

    Fill amounts?

I was banded on 2/19 and just had my first fill today. I think I overheard him tell the other guy in the room he gave me 2cc's. How much did you get on your fill? Is that the normal amount?? How many times did you have to get filled before you found the right amount??

    Creams??

I know that exercise is the only sure way to tighten skin, but does anyone know of any creams that are good with removing/hiding stretch marks or tightening skin so there isn't so much sag? I'm starting to look for something, but I want to make sure it works.

    Polycistic Ovarion Syndrome Ladies?

This was just a good read for me. I'm so glad to hear the success stories. I also have PCOS and my husband and I tried IUI for 6 months with nothing... My specialist kept saying it was my weight so I finally decided to put off more iui and go for surgery. I had been thinking about lap band for a while before but never went for it. I can't wait until I lose more weight and can start trying again. Thanks for the encouragement!
  7. I was banded on 2/19 also! I have lost 26 pounds so far (Yay!), I have only had 1 person notice and I think that was just because she knew I was having the surgery and I was out of work for two weeks so when I came back she said something. And to make matters worse.... A friend of mine asked my tall skinny 140lb husband if HE lost weight while I was standing right next to him! He hasn't lost any weight! If anything he has gained. That made me SOOO mad to have someone point his weight out and not my weight loss. But like other people said, I'm sure as I lose more weight and get new clothes people will start to notice. Hang in there

    Calorie intake.

Try different brands! There are so many out there, don't get stuck with one you don't like. I personally like the unjury chocolate but now that I've been drinking it at least once a day for a month, I'm starting to get sick of it. I was told by my nutritionist that I can start adding blended fruit (but I'm on the "mushy" stage), so hopefully that will help!

    Sipping, drinking, gulping

I have a hard time making sure to drink enough during the day... I used to be a gulper but now that I have the band I'm told not to gulp. When I sip, I forget to keep sipping throughout the day. I know its important to drink enough but I just don't remember to drink! Anyone have any tips on making sure I drink enough??
  10. Hi guys! This is my first post here! Hope its in the right place. I am 3 weeks post op. My surgeon moved me to "mushy" food last Friday. I've made a good variety of egg salad, chicken salad and tuna salads. My nutritionist said I should be eating 2oz 3 times a day and 1 Protein shake, plus lots of Water. However after eating 2oz of mush, I'm still hungry! Am I allowed to eat more then 2 oz? Do you guys have any pointers for how to minimize the hunger? I've been feeling great physically! I'm not in any pain anymore and I even went back to my tap classes this week! I want to get my fill and get it over with but I know I need to be patient with that.
