Hey 2012 I found these two articles: http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20120509005606/en/EveryMove-Raises-2.6-Million-Consumers-Reduce-Health http://www.geekwire.com/2012/everymove-lands-26m-create-mileage-rewards-program-health/ Looks legit.

A couple of months post banding, my wife insists....
Kisigin replied to Uncle Ted's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If she said it's in all directions don't discount the possibility that it may be less weight= healthier circulatory system= better erectile quality= larger. Carolinagirl, if he'ing and she'ing is a euphemism for what I think it is, that's hilarious. Never heard it before. -

Low sodium V8 has a lot of potassium in it. I think it's still a little too high in sodium, though. NoSalt brand salt substitute is potassium chloride. You can sprinkle that on your food and it tastes just like salt. Just don't do anything like mix some in water and drink or you'll hurt your stomach. Tomato paste is also very high in potassium.

The sugar alcohol in this is erythritol which per Wikipedia has less of a laxative side effect than some of the other sugar alcohols. Sugar alcohols like mannitol and lactitol are actually used as laxatives.

I never saw that before. I did recently hear about a website that does the exact opposite. You sign up and post your goals for like the day or the year or something, then if you don't hit them your friends can penalize you in some way. I can't find the name of it but it would be an interesting study to see what one is more effective. I think the reward would probably be much more effective.

I've read that 30lbs equals half an inch, pubic fat wise. I'm sure that's not exact but genreally speaking. Regardless, congratulations! -

A lot of times we are our own worst enemies. You said that you're gunshy and like that you can remain anonymous. It sounds as if you have a problem with confidence, at least in your ability to lose weight. You have to understand that you can succeed. The best part is that once the weight starts really coming off you'll develop more confidence in your self to accomplish your weight loss goals. That in turn will lead to more weight loss. It's a brilliant feedback loop. Don't let any modicum of past ridicule work its way into your mind.

If you have it decided that you're going to exercise in the morning you'll be less likely to miss that day's workout because you have the whole day to play catch up. Also exercising earlier in the day can set you up mentally for the rest of the day. Sometimes, and especially if you're already tired, looking forward to a workout later on can be a little dreadful. I feel personally it's better to get it out of the way. If it's simply a scheduling thing then it probably doesn't matter. Like you said exercising at any time is better than not exercising at all.

Friends With Benefits? How Do You Feel About It?
Kisigin replied to SteveFrett's topic in Rants & Raves
I'm in the boat that if you are truly "friends" with benefits then that is a relationship, no? I mean it would be considered some sort of open relationship. I don't mean to comment on the personal relationships of anyone here but I feel a lot of times when people refer to friends with benefits they're not really sincere about the friends part. If it is someone that you would hangout with even if you weren't intimate and on top of that you ARE intimate then that's kind of how I define romance. -
I trust your recommendation but I always feel like I'm going to get caught in the fine print with sites like that. I'm going to check it out though.

I was so intrigued I had to click on this. Pleasantly surprised. These look really good. I think you can do close to the same thing with egg roll wrappers. About the chili oil, you can substitute by just using regular oil and throwing in some red pepper flakes.

Did you guys see this link http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2013/02/17/artificial-sweeteners-health-_n_2706547.html?1361885896&just_reloaded=1 It talks about how things like aspartame are too intensely sweet and may affect our brain chemistry's response to the flavor. They believe this has some subsequent relations to obesity and diabetes.

I'm suprised no one has said this already but the Rocky soundtrack. And you can't go wrong with The Pogues.

Interesting article on the 3,500 calories burned equals a pound of fat discussion
Kisigin replied to Terry Poperszky's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Terry, I'm guilty of that too. The funny thing is I don't always realize it. Then I respond with even more exercise. It's like it takes a while for it to hit me mentally that what I'm doing is incorrect. I start eating so I can perform better without remembering why I'm exercising in the first place. It kind of defeats the purpose of the run if I eat more calories than I burn just to fuel it. Like my grandfather always said, "everything in moderation." He's 85 and healthy as a horse. -

I liked this article because it addressed the fact that the 3,500=onelb thing is not a hard and fast rule. Sometimes other articles take that idea and run with it without properly reflecting on the metabolism/bmi factor.
