Problems eating on workday schedule.
bandedgirlxo replied to aeromech's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I would just have a protein shake for breakfast or I'd eat something small on the way there then have protein on your 1st break to hold you over until lunch. -
How many meals per day does everyone eat? I'll eat 3 5-6 ounces meals & then 2 snacks usually a shake, hard boiled egg, hummus, or a yogurt.

thanks everyone!

After 1 week of almost all liquids & a lot of throwing up I went to the doc. my stomach was so swollen from throwing up that no liquid could get thru! SCARY. Took 1 CC out for now & I'm feeling better!
-
I had my 2nd fill yesterday of 1.5 CC's for a total of 3.5 CC's in my 10 CC band .. I did all liquids yesterday & took my vitamins as directed .. after I took my vitamins( which are gummy) I was sliming & haven't been throwing up since. I have not been able to keep anything down since.. not even liquid.

didn't realize not having my profile updated made my suggestion irrelevant. I'm glad you feel better. If I feel anything stuck I immediately try to get it up before it goes through my band.

Any suggestions for how to handle sneezing post op?
bandedgirlxo replied to Frederic's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
listen to the surgeon- definitely do not run. coughing & sneezing into a pillow is the best way to feel less pain -

Are these feelings normal?
bandedgirlxo replied to SaraJ's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, totally normal. Sip slowly & walk around a lot. Walking was hard but it passed that pain, it's usually gas. Good luck & congrats on your band! -
Problem drinking protein
bandedgirlxo replied to browneyedgirl84's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you can handle dairy I drink Rockin Refuel, low sugar & low carbs. 30g of protein. They are in the milk section of my grocery store (Stop & Shop). Also, try "About Time" they make an unflavored 1 that's good with anything. Good luck! -
go to the search & go to "hash tags" then type #lapband or #gastricband or #wls & people start popping up .. you can search me & check out the people on my page, they are great. my name on there is bandedgirlxo

Hi Sara, Your nutritionist should've told you that for the 1st month you should be on chewable Vitamins, that is what I had to do & it was super easy. Good luck & congrats on your band!

Protein shakes helped me the most. I only had a 3 day liquid diet before surgery.. the purpose is to shrink ur liver so surgery is easier. if I were u I would try working out, do some cardio to try & drop a few pounds. My doctor said even 3-5 pounds a few days prior to surgery. The 3 weeks of liquid after was hard for me. I wish u the best of luck! I'm always here if you need help. If you are on Instagram there are tons of people & great positive support on there!

when did u have the band done?

been 3 years and stuck
bandedgirlxo replied to Candy78's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I would push ur doctor too. 3 out of 10? That's not right. If your stuck tell him to give u at least 2 more. Good luck & congrats on your success so far! -

Ok, thank you! I have been filling up on lapband approved foods & following the guidelines. glad to see this is normal. -
Today is my 3 months, started at 216, dropped down to 197 month 2 but I'm currently 204. Has this happened to anyone else? I've only had 1 fill of 2 CC's.. next fill on 3/5. Feeling discouraged :/
