Jurema just wondering how you are doing. How is your Dad coming along. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care.

Happy Birthday Marcar I too have recently been turned onto the Masi Amarone.

Hi Katt44, I think if you look into the threads you will find one called did you start solids early. Most of us did. I started with Chicken and Rice soup with some smashed up crackers which was yummy. I did have meatballs with sauce smashed up and ate very slowly and remember to put small amounts in your mouth and chew, chew chew. I was banded in April and cannot eat any type of bread whatsoever. I have crackers with almost everything. Remember you should call your doctor first and get their okay.

Hi Rose I forgot to ask about the fills in Scarborough but I will Brookelaney my port is now located midway between boobs and belly button. I think it will be ok there. They gave me .75 fill while I was under. I don't think I feel any different but it is a good amount.

Welcome to bandland andreerichards

As long as you have the receipts you won't have a problem. They love to collect but not pay out.

Yes Loriely, yes it will be moved tomorrow. I think I have decided to just move it a little lower than where it is now. It will end up about somewhere between my boobs and my bellybutton in the middle. Peaches has hers just below bellybutton and it hits the kitchen counter, waist will interfere with pants and bikini area may be weird for anyone who may go there if you get my drift (In my dreams maybe) Thanks for the well wishes. You are doing fantastic and are an inspiration to me. I will be away for about 10 day starting Friday for vacation at my cottage.

Hi Mandi, I can see your new collarbones. That pic is so cute!!

Hey Jurema I'm glad your band is easing up a bit. I am so sorry about your Dad. My Dad had several strokes thru the years and it wore him down. I pray your Dad's recovery comes soon and that he can see that beautiful face of your once again. Take care of yourself, D

Peaches you little rascal.... Bejeweled I arrived at tlbc at 1 pm and found out my surgery was not until 3 and they were already at least an hour behind I asked if I could come another time. So I will have it done next Thursday. Where is your port again? I think the best spot for me is just below where my rib cage ends just to the left. If you read Peaches hers hits the counter and at the waist will be a pain. How you doing?

Jurema it sounds like you need a defill. You should always be able to eat. From the other posts here it sounds like you are too tight when you can only get Water down. If you are bringing up a lot it is bad for you. Make sure you drink a lot so that you don't get dehydrated. To be sure why not call the clinic. I am so sorry about your Dad. I'm positive the stress isn't helping. Take care of yourself and please call them.

WOW - THE POWER OF A NEW HAIRDO IS AMAZING... Congratulations

Hi Peaches. Yes I touch mine as well. I can't do it in public because it is too close to my boobs, don't want people wondering....I am going in tomorrow at 2 pm to move it. I think I will just have him lower it an inch or two to between boobs and belly button. You are losing some serious poundage there girl!
-
Thanks Bejeweled We both started at almost the same weight. Don't get bummed if not much happens during this post op time. When you get your fills that when you can start to kick some ass...
-
Thanks Doddie, I even went for a walk this am. In my head I feel like I am 150. Amazing how motivated and great you feel for the littlest loss. How are you doing?
-
Yippee, I am 189 lbs this am. Do you think I can lose a couple more before months end......I'm gonna give it my best shot!!

I have heard of Dr. Klien as well. There is a bariatric department at humber and he is one of the main guys there. It took a long time for me to hear from them as well. I originally wanted the gastric bypass because the government may have paid for it. As I thought more I realized I didn't want something so permanent. I couldn't imagine taking a perfectly good digestive system and changing it forever just because it may be free. So I had the band done at TLBC and am very happy. I think you will be happy as well. -
Did YOU Start Solids Early???

Peaches if you really need to cheat make it something that goes down easy like pudding or crackers in your soup. Remember you still need to heal inside. -

Oh Lisa it happened to all of us. It does eventually slow down. I can't say it stops though. I have good and bad days. Let r rip.... -
I'm doing well. I had gained 2 lbs at my last fill so I have been very good since. I weighed this am and am now 189 lbs. I am trying to remember my password to change my ticker. I'm glad your doing ok but try to keep an eye on what your eating. Take it slow and try to stick to the post op diet at least until week 3.
-
Hi Bejeweled. I'm glad you like your bullet. I have a regular hand one by Braun and I love it too. Great if you're in a hurry in the am. Liquid protein. Don't worry about not seeing too much in the way of weight loss. It will happen as soon as you start getting your fills.
-
Hi Mandi I'm so happy about your weight loss. I know you were feeling a little frustrated but you stuck with it and you won. Your new do is pretty happening baby!
-
I think I have decided to just lower my port a few inches so that it won't bother with my bra and not at the waist. Some have said they have it just below the belly button but when they lean against the sink it bothers them. Mine really sticks out too.
-
My sweet Doddie it happens and you think you know why. You have taken charge and are correcting the situation. Don't beat yourself up. It is a long road and we are all in it together. I'm off to the cottage, I'll check in again on Sunday nite. xo D
