Thank you for your kind words Yoda and Susansilver. Albert is soooo adorable. I don't think we can go much longer without a new pet for my sweet Holly. I will have to get my kids to insert the pic as I am technology impaired (the kids tell me so). My daughters boyfriends mom has been given only 2 months to live. Poor thing, she is only 53 years old. She has two black mini poodles who will need some love and a home and I will most likely take them in. Not the best situation but at least she can know they will be loved and cared for.

They are so cute especially Kayko. I had 2 Bichon Frise brother and sister from the same litter Arthur and Holly. Arthur had to be put down last Sunday apparently a heart attack/stroke and poor Holly is wandering around so lost. She spotted herself in a mirror the other day and was wagging her tail like crazy. She kept going to the back side of the sliding mirror door to find her brother. It was heartbreaking. She is 12 1/2 years old. It is so horrible to put these guys down. They give so much and ask for so little in return.

Congrats on the new car Jurema. Somehow we always seem to find the money to make all the payments so good for you. Think how sexy you will look in that new machine in a few months. Wow! My second fill for june is the 26th. I'll catch up with you yet. I also had a problem with tuna. I put low fat mayo and have it with crackers now and it is ok as long as you don't put too much tuna on the cracker. I tried tuna with a piece of toast and had my first pb. Yuck and kind of a scary feeling not like regular vomiting which I despise but awful nonetheless. The discomfort is over as soon as stuff comes out. Sorry for grossness....I no way can eat chicken breast...tttooooooo dry...thighs are better. I haven't had steak yet. Yes, I did start my solids early Susansilver. I have only lost 2 lbs since surgery but my clothes sure feel better. My ex even noticed that I lost weight. We are very good friends. I have my fill on the 11th, I hope it will make a difference.

I have had to make a note for myself and stick it on the computer, on my car dashboard etc to help me remember how it works Breath out Swallow Breath in and repeat.............. I have allocated the portion of time required to follow this routine to my daily workout as it requires concentration. I have tried it and I will report that after an initial very small burp upon completion of my guzzling of Water that's IT, no prolonged symphony anymore. Miss LL you may be on to something here. How does it work for eating. I still have orchestra after a meal. D

I agree about not jumping to conclusions. I am glad however that this is available to the public.

I specifically told Dr, Yau that I wanted it there and he said ok. When I woke up it was between my boobs. When I asked him why he flatly said "You're going to need a tummy tuck". My tummy isn't even really big, I carry my weight in my hips, bum and thighs. I will speak to him about moving it because I have big boobs and when I sit down my bra lands on the port and it is very uncomfortable...

I'm not so sure about this burbing......After I eat I go on a major burping spree. I wonder if it is happening to others. I was banded on April 26 and still do this. I hope it passes. I wonder if it is from all that chewing. Imagine how much air adds up in there???

Susieq321 - Could you pls give me the names of the Plastic surgeons that were present. Did they sound good? Did they show you any pics? Did they specialize in plastics for weight loss patients? I would like to have my cousin come from Italy for the surgury.

I am in the Pickering, Ajax area and Pickering Town centre gave me the iso burst sample and Harwood gave me another one made by strike. I only liked the chocolate of that one but the girl there said it was actually better for you than isoburst because it protected the muscle and released fat. Call ahead if you don't want to waste time asking for samples

I think sitting in that waiting room is better than seeing the doc. Everyone is very open and friendly. I guess knowing that we are all there for the same thing is very comforting. I love sitting there. I hope eventually I will meet you all.

I will definately make a point of attending next year. Hope more of us will go cuz it sounds like it was good.

I opted for the band simply because I couldn't see permantley ruining a perfectly good digestive system forever. It was not easy to pay 16,000 for the band but it isn't forever changing me. I have heard that at least we absorb nutrients with this restrictive wls while the bypass reroutes most nutrients out the ying yang. So the band it the winner for me. Read through these pages there is a ton of info here.

Bandiva you are kicking some serious ass with your weight loss girl!!!

I just heard from Doddie and she was told today by a surgeon that her port has flipped. She has to come back to TLBC to have it fixed. She is from Vancouver and I told her to ask for something from them cause its there fault. I read somewhere in here that some ports had flipped during a certain period this year. Doddie was also done in Feb 07. I asked Yau about that in April and he said he tried a new technique and it didn't work so he has revised it since. FYI only

Jurema - I really haven't lost anything since surgery. I am a bit surprised because I eat much smaller portions than before, no junk, bread or pasta and nothing. I stay encouraged because everyone here says it starts to happen after the first fill. My fill is on the 11th of June. I am sorry that I won't see you there but I think you will meet Mr. Yoda, susansilver and a few others on that day. Bummer for me though, it doesn't look like anyone here is going on the 11th. Mayber next month. Take care D.

I haven't heard of this Big Medicine show but I will look it up. I have watched the brookhaven thing and was not impressed either. Susan did you get your Unjury yet. I got caught at customs. I bought 3 cans but the duty was only $8.64. I can't say I like the vanilla. I had it with strawberries this am and it was hard to swallow. I am a chocolate girl for sure. My first fill is on June 11 at 9:30. I don't know if I'm scared of the real thing or what. I don't think I eat that much now but thinking that it will be even less is worrisome. I had a mini pb from toast and tuna. Not very nice.

Always level headed Yoda. I too can see and feel my port. It is just below my highest incision a little to the left between my boobs. In a sitting position my bra actually rests on it and I find it uncomfortable. I can definitely feel it right under the skin too.

I haven't had steak yet but I did get a piece of pork chop stuck. What an awful feeling. It did go down eventually. Worse was a toasted bagel with tuna and mayo. I thought I chewed it really well but it got stuck. Worser feeling. That did work its way up and out. Hope that doesn't happen too often, it hurt and was scary.

Fantastic Mandi. Sorry about your fill not working out. Do you pay for the fill and then pay again for defill? What was that feeling you were having in the nite?
