I admit it. I have used iced tea instead of milk for cereal. EWWWWW!!! I admit it. I have eaten cheetos and chocolate at the same time. Something about salt, cheese, and chocolate tastes YUMMY to me. And I wasn't even PMSing at the time. I haven't had PMS since I was 27 (complete Hysterectomy needed). I admit it. I have taken chocolate ice cream put in a glass of orange soda and added a squirt of vanilla. YUM YUM!! top that!

At first glance the Gano coffee products look great. I have not done an extensive research into it as yet. I have just started. Here is a link to a website that talks about Reishi (Ganoderma Lucidum). This is the ingredient in the Gano coffee. The site does mention if you are taking anti-coagulants or cholesterol lowering meds to not take Gano. This product can also in rare cases cause diarrhea and dermitis. Keep in mind folks this is a mushroom. So if you are allergic to mushrooms you might want to steer clear of this product in all forms. But the benefits are great as well, Anti-inflammatory agent and used for Alzheimers sufferers. Do the research prior to taking the product. The site that Paula lists will send you a free sample and literature. I just had them send me some. Reishi - Ganoderma Lucidum

My trainer came by yesterday and we discussed this very issue. I too have rather LARGE MONDO arms. Genetics too Paula. Thanks Grandma. LOL!! Anyway, I have been using the skimpy 2 lb weights and am working up to the 7 lbers. I have progressed now to the 3 lb weights. I am doing a butterfly, tricep curls (UGH), pull downs, etc. Like Michelle stated The Fitness Magazine has lots of good exercises. You could also check out Ediets.com in the exercise section. I know they explain and have a slide show of all their exercises. Since working with the trainer I have lost 1 inch off my arms. WHOO HOO!!! Oh an Paula, I too have the flabby arms but it doesn't stop me from going sleeveless. They don't like to look at my arms then they don't have to look. LOL!!

WARNING GROSS PICTURES Lisa's Surgical Wounds
Penni60 replied to DeLarla's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Here is a pic of Lisa's wound as it appears this month. I am very pleased with the results. IT looks GREAT!! Word of warning this is NOT for the faint of heart. The pic on the LEFT is the day after surgery and Dr. Billy was in the middle of redressing it. The pic on the RIGHT is how it looks now. TWO months later. -
They do but at the top of the Forum they were made sticky in. Like this one is at the top in the lounge forum.

Here is where being your OWN patient advocate comes in handy. The doctor may not know what the pills look like. Most don't. Always ask the pharmacist how big the pills are. And ask if there is an alternative form, like liquid. I am sorry for your troubles. It almost sounds like you are still too tight. I was told that we can swallow any pill as long as it was not bigger than the top of an eraser on a pencil. I have tested this theory and it works for me.

Welcome Cameron: As one of the moderators come on in and take your shoes off and sit a spell. Thanks for your honesty and that you aren't trying to solicite patients. I would ask if someone approaches you on a post to take the conversation to a Private Message. Welcome again.

I had to go away for a few to be with my trainer so here are the rest of the pics.

Most Recent Tummy Tuck Before/Afters
Penni60 replied to FDATrialGuineaPig's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Kelly, I would be nervous as well. It would not be the actual surgery but it would be the recovery process that would make me anxious. -
I love staying in Wyndham hotels period. They are so nice. OK so no one in the Atlanta area then HUH. I will go by Chattanooga so anyone in that area?

Vinesqueen, Monday is your special day!!
Penni60 replied to New Hope's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
HEHEHEEHE Marie Monday is the 14th. Today is the 10th. LOL!! And darnit you beat me to the well wishes. WHOO HOO!!! CRYSTAL!! Band land here she comes. -
Yeah, I had it too. I attributed it to gas pains and also the fluids I was taking in. I was one that had immediate restriction after surgery. So anytime I drank fluids it was like I was forcing fluid through something too fast. That caused my pain. I drank slower and smaller sips. I also used a heating pad. It does get better. Just takes time. SIGH!! LOL!!
-
Megan, You strick me as a very HONEST person and I think that is the reason you are having a hard time. I would ask him everything I wanted to know. I would also tell him about the band. He will either answer the questions and be ok with the surgery you had or he won't. If he isn't then better to find out now than after your heart if fully engulfed. Just my opinion.

Where is the first place you lost weight?
Penni60 replied to Iluvharleys's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was gonna say when I delivered my first child. I lost about 8lbs right off the bat. LOL!!! Then the husband was the next place. LOL! I noticed it in my ankles. I looked down one day and had skinny ankles. Then my face, then hands, then all over. -
Marie, TOO FUNNY. I thought about exercising, does that count? TOO FUNNY!! And yes it does count. You exercised the brain. My trainer comes today so I am thinking about all the stuff we will be doing. UGH!! But I feel so much better after she leaves. The only solice today is that John has to do it to. LOOLOLOL!!! Misery loves company.

I am with you Betty. I don't wanna have to wear any type of glasses till I absolutely have to. I wore them for over 30 years so to not have to wear them for the past year and a half has been fabulous. I will just do more asking questions till I feel completely comfortable.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDY!! There got the real business out of the way. OK what should you be doing while waiting for insurance? HMMM!! Let me think. (Imagine POOH with his little paw finger tapping his head saying "THINK THINK") LOL!! Spa treatments: All a MUST while waiting for approval Manicure Pedicure Facial Massage Oh you were referring to band related things. Hmmm!! Let me think. (see above). Nope can't think of a thing. If you really want to you can go on a strict diet and try to lose the weight yourself. NAWWW!! That ain't no fun. You could hire a trainer and sweat to the oldies with Richard Simmons. NAWWWWWWWW! That would be fun to watch not participate in. All joking aside, if you want to do something then just try to eat healthier and be more conscious of what you are taking into your body. That's all.
