Hey I have this Lucky Bamboo that is in desparate need of repotting. Does anyone have any suggestions? Can I do cuttings with the stalks? If so how? One more thing: I have a white Orchid that John gave me for Mother's Day this year. It is still alive can you believe that? It seems to be thriving in the pot it is in. I was just wondering if it should be put in a larger pot or just leave it be. I know they are fragile so don't wanna risk losing it. Any gardeners out there???

I am curious why you had the fill removed? -
I Water my Orchid once a week. I also water the plant from the middle of the plant not directly into the pot. Just enough to make it come out the bottom. THen stop watering it. No one with input on the Lucky Bamboo then HUH?

I had Lasik done about two years ago. I too was concerned about being awake. They can give you a valium to relax you but they need you awake for the procedure. Besides it would take longer to put you asleep then to actually do the procedure. It takes all of 5 to 10 min per eye. Seriously! I even went back for a Monovision as one of my eyes needed a touch up. It is NOT painful at all. Nothing about the procedure is painful. Where are you located? I can highly recommend the facility I went to.

Cool Beans looking forward to it. Where are all the other SoCal Bandsters?

NO loss this week. No biggie though. I have been slacking some. Gotta get my exercise going again.

I broke and had to have a real cup of coffee tonight. I have been drinking this substitute called "Raja's Cup" which is really good but I missed my good ole cup of "International Caffe Vienna". Well that was a mistake. I have horrible heart palpitations now. I also have some muscular tenderness like when you do too many butterfly exercises (you know "I must I must I must increase my bust" exercises.) OK so back to Raja's Cup for me. Damnit. LOL!!

If you want I can put them side by side. I don't think it was all that big. LOL!!

OK guys the August 30th Tuesday is right around the corner. Who is in for a Van Nuys get together? I will be willing to open up my house to the events. I have a swimming pool so bring suits. Don't worry I have a fence around the property and we will have seclusion. LOL!! We can cook out or order in or I can fix something or whatever. I have wine, Water, crystal light, we can get some beer, or other hard liquor or none at all. I am easy. Just need an idea of who is coming and when you guys wanna meet and all that jazz. I can send directions to the house to whoever is coming.

Doctor Introduction; Self-Pay Program
Penni60 replied to DrPleatman's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
OK Jenna, I am gonna holler so put your muffs on your ears. LOL!! No seriously LBT, as far as I know doesn't have anything in writing but it is understood that we do not endorse a particular entity. We also do not allow advertising either, hence the reason one particular thread was locked and the person was informed that it was not Kosher to advertise their services. What Dr. Pleatman has done, in my opinion, did not fall into that category of blatantly advertising his services, with the one exception of listing what he charges for fills. But there again that was only done after he was asked. He did not come here to drum up business. He was asked to come and share what he felt comfortable sharing at no cost. I for one am glad that we have someone here that can shed some light on or confirm emergent situations that we might not be aware of. I suggest you not use this forum to ask Dr. Pleatman questions which should be asked in Doctor / Patient relationship. That would almost qualify as a violation of the Privacy Laws in place now. I would suggest that if you have specific questions then you send him a Private Message or better still contact his office directly. -
Being an RN, I am not sure why inserting a breathing tube (which goes in the trachea and not the esophagus) would be an issue with regards to bandsters. The placement of the band itself would not be a factor when inserting a breathing tube. Two very different areas of the body and far enough apart to not interfere with each other to the point of needing a tracheostomy. Having just gone through my CPR training for my RN license they did not mention anything about the short smacks on the back being more effective. However, there are different ways to perform the Heimlich when it pertains to the age of the victim. The idea of smacks on the back might be what you are referring to.
