OK I thought I was over being sick. Boy was I fooled. I went today and got my mani and pedi done in the pouring rain. BAD IDEA!!! Now I am coughing and all congested and achy again. Now I think I am running a fever as well. SIGH!! Hopefully it will all go away by this weekend. It has been over a week now I have been sick. Now John is sick as well. SIGH!!! OK my goals for April: Stay on track with Nutrisystem -- so far so good Exercise for at least 20 min a day -- Nope none today Drink at least 64 oz of water a day -- Yup got that in Lose at least 1 lb a week -- Don't think that will happen this week.

Shanna: I know your pain. I completely understand your feelings right now. It just sucks. Take this time to grieve and to develop a plan of action to keep the weight off. Remember and use the band rules in your mealtime. I am just so heartsick for you. I know the pain. HUGS SHANNA!! Singer: I sent you a PM. Hey John and I are going to be in Vegas this weekend to see Queen w/ Paul Rodgers. We will arrive on Friday night and have Saturday to do lunch or something. We would like to be on the road back home no later than 3p. Paul you wanna try to hook up or is it possible? Lisa are you available? OK Sign me up for belly dancing.

Today's plan accomplishment: I will follow my Nutrisystem meal plans. (OK, back to the plan.) I will exercise for a minimum of 20 min a day 4 days a week. (OK woke up this morning with a MIgraine. UGH!! I will be so glad when I can get back to a normal routine.) I will lose at least 1 lb a week. (Nope no loss this week.) I will drink at least 64 ounces of Water a day. (Getting in the water is getting harder and harder. I am working on it.) Positive reinforcement mantras: I will continue to eat healthy and hope to lose weight. I will continue to exercise and hope to lose weight. I will continue to be proud of myself with all the accomplishments to date.

Susan I hear ya about the weigh in days. I will report on Wed what I weighed this morning. Maybe by Wed I will have lost some. LOLOLOLOL!!!!

On Wednesday of next week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06. That won't ever happen again. You may now return to your (normal ?) life.

(I sure hope I see a lose come Monday. I have not been eating as much since I am sick and I have been drinking lots of Water.) I will drink at least 64 ounces of water a day. Just wanted to share what I have been busy with this week. My 18 yr old son Bradley and my 14 yr old Grandson Alex has kept me busy this week along with having a BAD Cold or a slight FLU take your pic. Sunday we went to Legoland in Carlsbad, CA Monday and Tuesday I recuperated from the cold. Wednesday we went to Universal Studios in Hollywood, CA Thursday (TODAY) I took Alex shopping since his Birthday is next week. Friday we will either go see a movie or go bowling. Saturday he goes home early in the morning. Then I will crash and burn. LOL! My son is in the Glasses.

I did start early but ya know except for the times when I was scared to death as a young mom I would NOT change one thing. I would still have had the kids when I did. I can truly enjoy the grandkids now. It is such a blessing to know that two years ago I would not have been able to do even a tenth of the things I am doing now. Most likely I would have been bedridden by now. I was on the road to extremely poor health. I managed to lose up to 70 lbs before I lost my band to erosion this past Dec of 2005. I have gained about 25 back since then. SIGH!! But I am still active and ready for a walk and to go on rides. I enjoy life more now than I did before I had the band. Since losing the band I am finding it harder and harder to keep the eye on the prize and focus on better food choices. It is just incredibly hard. Keep me in your prayers as I face these struggles. I will do the same for all of you as well.

My grandson is home safe and sound now. Just got a phone call letting me know. I miss him already. I have this week to get back on track with the meals then on the 14th I fly to TN to visit my other two grand daughters and then a Health Conference in GA. I won't be home till the 24th. SIGH!! I might lose 5 lbs by the end of the year at this rate. LOL!!! Today's plan accomplishment: I will follow my Nutrisystem meal plans. (OK, gotta get back to the plan starting tomorrow. Ate relatively good today. Not too many over the top calories so far.) I will exercise for a minimum of 20 min a day 4 days a week. (Got up at 7a to take grandson to the airport and see him safely on the plane. Just got a phone call that he made it home just fine and is already planning his next trip out here. I miss him already. I LOVE being a Grandma too Susan. I just wished I lived closer.) I will lose at least 1 lb a week. (I sure hope I see a lose come Monday. You have never been more right Susan. I can't imagine that my son is 6'1" and 18 yr old and graduating this year. Where does the time go? The saying on the shirt says, "I like to let my mind wander, but it never comes back." He has lots of shirts like that with cute sayings. He has one that says, "Somewhere a village has lost it's idiot." I love that one. Bradley was sick in that pic. Can't tell it though.

Today went to a nice restaurant and had a nice Protein packed meal.) I will exercise for a minimum of 20 min a day 4 days a week. (Todays exercise was to run errands all over like taking my son to the dr to get some antibiotics to fight off the flu like symptoms. Then went to get some groceries, Then took my grandson to a nice restaurant for lunch. Then we went to see Ice Age: The Meltdown tonight.) I will lose at least 1 lb a week. The weight loss is stalled right now. I haven't and WON'T weigh myself till this coming Monday. I feel like I have lost but don't wanna jinx it in case I am way wrong. LOL!!! I am just looking forward to some time to just chill. My grandson played in my art studio today and he produced two really cool paintings. If I can get a pic of them before he leaves I will do that and post them. Paula, I am pretty proud of both of these guys. They actually wanted me to ride stuff with them and when I tried to bow out and let them just do it alone they both pulled my arms and said "OH NO YOU ARE COMING TOO!" Isn't that sweet?

For those of you that watch "Desparate Housewives" Here is a pic of the Yellow house from the show. WHen we went to Universal Studios they have a "back lot" tour you can do. They were filming the show and we got to see the houses. So the yellow house is from the show.

Yesterday's plan accomplishment: I will follow my Nutrisystem meal plans. (OK, My grandson is in town. We went to Universal.We walked forever and a day. That should go into the exercise portion. LOL!!! Anyway I am trying to be good. It will be hard with him here. I am almost over my bad cold.) I will exercise for a minimum of 20 min a day 4 days a week. (Got that in yesterday from walking all over Universal lose at least 1 lb a week. (HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA.) I will drink at least 64 ounces of water a day. (Got in about 64oz so far. Hey there P'Nut: Thanks for asking, I am feeling somewhat better today. AT least I can breath today. My throat isn't hurting. And my cough is subsiding somewhat. No fevers in the last 24 hours. I am taking my grandson shopping today for his birthday. Then we are going to eat at one of the requested restaurants he wanted to visit. We went to Universal yesterday and yes I was still sick but didn't want to disappoint him. So I suffered through it. Had a blast though. He leaves on Saturday morning and when I get home from LAX I will collapse. LOL!!! Then the real work begins. I have inventory to log and merchandise to put away. Then I have a couple of items to make and get shipped off. Then I gotta call a couple of people about my merchandise. Never a dull moment around here. Calgon take me away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this thread too. Just full of love and support.

Man I wish I was closer I would walk with you. I just did the L.A. 5K walk on March 19th and had a blast. This was my second year doing it. THey are lots of fun and it is so rewarding to know you participated in something so "REAL". LOL!! I will be thinking of you all on April 22nd. I am planning on doing the Susan G, Komen Walk here in L.A. come Sept. GO LADIES GO!!!!
