Ok I am not from NC but I made this a sticky for you guys. ENJOY!!

I know I have said this before but I am going to keep saying it till there is no longer a reason for it to come out of my mouth. THIS SUCKS!!! I am sure like Lisa we all have our head demons. I have been fighting one myself for the last three weeks. And according to the scales it seems to be winning. So Lisa I feel your pain as far as eating all the wrong foods. I think I need to be locked away for two or three months on a fat farm to starve me so I can lose at least SOME weight. All I am managing to do these days is GAIN. I am so disgusted right now and I feel the depression sneaking it's head back into the door. SIGH!!

I am all suited up and ready for this Spring Bootcamp. I am so in trouble already. I snuck in some contraband but immediately pitched it. YEah for me!!!!

My sweetie and I have purchased small business insurance and I can tell you it does work. Although they did not cover the initial surgery they did cover all but $900 of the removal. I have PacifiCare PPO. Of course now I have heard that United Healthcare is taking over the PacifiCare people. So who knows what my plan will be then. But for now it is working for me.

OH my GAWD!! Kim2bhealthy was my secret bunny. And just let me tell you she sent me the cutest ceramic bunny with ears that can be adjusted. It is so cute. I embarrassed my son by holding it up and saying "isn't this just the cutest thing ever?" He went "yeah right mom and how much cold medicine have you had today?" LOL!!! Anyway here is a pic of the items she sent. Ceramic Bunny, A flower sachet to put in my closet to make it smell nice, a bag of Shey cocoa butter heart shaped thingys with it's own storage case, and a round bath ball that smells like Earl Grey Tea. YUM YUM!!! The heart shaped thingsy melt in your hand so you can make them all soft and supple. Then you store the left over heart for use later. Isn't that too cool?

Yeah guilty here as well. Just trying to focus all my energy on getting well. Did I say energy? What energy? I have NONE!! LOL!! I will try to check in more often. That should be another committment. LOl!!!

Just from my own personal experience with Erosion I can't see how accessing the port would cause Erosion. If that is the case then why don't you erode when the doctor accesses it? Yes you can access your own port and I suppose if done improperly it could cause an infection which MIGHT lead to an erosion diagnosis. But it is more likely that something was going on early on in the process to begin with. As far as slippage goes, there are any number of causes for that as well. Anytime, a doc or their staff give absolute answers to any reason something happens it sends up red flags for me. In the medical field there are no absolutes. I was a Cancer RN for 8 years.

Yes, most docs won't even consider thinking about another type of surgery for 6 months. They want you to heal and adjust to life without the band before you begin to think about another surgery of any type. Some docs will take the band out and do a Duodenal Switch or even a bypass at the same time. It just depends on the band surgeon. Mine won't even discuss my options till the 6 months are up. That will be in June or July of this year.

An Apple a day keeps me regular. Celery is a good souce of fiber as well. If you can't eat the apple raw then you can stew it and eat it that way. You still get the same benefits.

Well since I lost my band in Dec to erosion, I have ordered some Zetacaps and will try them. I will let you guys know how they work for me.

Hey there you two. I would love to chat with you guys. Ask anything here and I am sure you will get lots of answers. I was banded two years ago today, April 6. In Dec or 2005 I was diagnosed with Band Erosion and had to have my band removed. I had my band for 18 months. I lost around 70 lbs with my band. Since I have gained some of that weight back but I am struggling every day with fighting this battle.

Goals for April: Stay on track with Nutrisystem -- Yup got there today. Exercise for at least 20 min a day -- I am counting going up and down the stairs to my studio. Even being sick I have work to get done. Drink at least 64 oz of Water a day -- Yup got that in Lose at least 1 lb a week -- Hopefully by next Monday I will see a move in the scales. 254 start for April Hey all you guys you are such awesome and precious people in my book. Let's all put on our best butt kicking boots and kick that weight demon to the curb. READY,..... 1,.... 2,.... 3,... KICK EM KICK EM HARD HARDER HARDER THERE THEY GO OUT THE DOOR GONE FOR GOOD. There has been some interest in starting a new FORUM for people that have lost their bands. We need a name for this new Forum so put on your thinking hats and help us give it a deserving name. IT will give us that have lost our bands a place to discuss specific topics that aren't directly related to the LapBand. I for one would like to have a place we nonbandstars can visit and get that support. Don't get me wrong we get lots of support from all you bandsters but it is nice to talk to someone that is experiencing the same things. RIGHT? So what is a good name for this new forum?

I ordered the Zetacaps as well. Let's hope they work. I graze all day long. So I have to keep healthy stuff to eat or drink lots of water. If there is a cookie in the house and I go to get something to eat then that cookie finds it's way into my mouth. That is just a fact. I don't even have to be hungry. I just need to graze. Either it is out of habit or what I don't know. I am trying to find other things to keep me occupied. Being sick doesn't help me right now. I am nauseated one minute then ravenous the next. SIGH!!!

OK where is Zoe's boot? I wanna throw it at Kebabish.

Happy Bandiversary SISTER! Yup two years ago for me as well. I am still struggling and trying to maintain. I have gained some but all in all the band helped me make a life change.

Yeah we are now official. LOL!! I am so happy to see this forum. Kelly congrats only gaining one pound. That is awesome. I just ordered some Zetacaps so I hope they work.
