Thank you to all who listened and offered support. I thank PinkMary for the analysis although I disagree with it. I do appreciate your insight. I did not start this thread looking for anyone to answer the question for me. I started this thread looking for the support and lifting up I knew would be here. And you guys came through like gang busters. This journey we are all on is long and hard. It has ups and downs. I seem to be in the up as far as gaining weight but down as far as emotions. I know some of this is my depression rearing it's ugly head. I am away from home and my routine so that is playing a factor in this dilemma. There are some things I know I could be doing better. I just have to work on those things. I do have the HOODIA and it does work great. I have the ZETACAPS and they work great. The thing is, I am a grazer. Neither of those pills would stop me from grazing and here is why they won't work for me. The Hoodia works to control appetite. I don't give my stomach time to get hungry cause there is food in it almost constantly. Therefore the Hoodia doesn't work as well on me. The Zetacap you take 30 min before meals. When I do take it 30 min before it does work. It works great. The only problem is I never know when I am gonna eat. The problem is I eat ALL the time. Little nibbles here big nibbles there. So this product doesn't work that well for grazers either. HUGE dilemma for us grazers. Theories tell you that eating 6 small meals a day will speed up your metabolism and therefore burn off fat faster. Well I am one to tell you that is full of bullshit. Well it might work if you eat sensibly with each meal. Not me Not a grazer. LOL!! It is just hard right now until something clicks with me. I am experimenting and trying new ideas. I know the old ones work Diet, Exercise, Exercise and Diet. Hate that one!! Sounds so simple huh? They why are we FAT???? Anyway, thanks for reading and offering your support. I think the Hoodia is working wonders for LaMadam by the way. She is my hero. Love ya Michelle.

Symptoms: I had none immediately. I just "felt" this odd sensation in my gut. I knew something was wrong. Even the doctor was surprised I had eroded. Some people do have loss of restriction. I suggest you do a search on EROSION and you will find lots of info. You might not notice anything wrong. It is recommended to get an Endoscopy (the only way to truly diagnose Erosion) at 1 year out. I eroded at 18 months.

I think my big issue is eating healthy when I travel. I can sorta control my eating when I am home. I have the nutrisystem meals but when I travel it is really hard to eat right. I know it can be done but just more difficult. And most times you have limited choices to eat anyway when travelling. I just gotta either travel less or when I do travel to figure out how to make it work without gaining. SIGH!! The trials and tribulations of fueling this carbon based unit. LOL!!

I will pray for you leener and sennd lots of white light and vibes your way. There you are covered on all fronts. LOOL!! I had a complete Hysterectomy when I was 27 due to bad endometriosis. Long story but they took everything including my cervix right. Well 15 years later I had an abnormal pap smear that showed cervical cells. HMMM!!?? How is this possible since I have NO CERVIX. Two things happened. Repeart pap which still show the abnomal cells. Second thing I had some small microscopically cervical cells still present that could not be removed at my initial surgery. Hence the abnormal pap. Had a LEEP procedure. That is another story. Cells all gone and Normal paps every since. There are any number of reasons to show up abnormal cells on a pap. Endometrial cells should not show up but it would not be uncommon to see them. My mom had endometrial cells grow on her colon. That is uncommon. Endometrial cells just need a blood supply to grow outside the uterus. They can be transfered during our monthly visitors. I too had an abnormal Mammogram last year and just had my 6 month check up and all is well but I still have to go back in 6 month for a definite ALL CLEAR. All this to say I know your scared and I feel it from your posts. Just know whatever the outcome (IT WILL BE OK) we are here for you.

Trish in all honesty I think taking out the port is a GREAT idea. I know it isn't what you would want to hear but it means a good way to cleanse the body of whatever it is that is growing inside of you. The port is most likely the source of infection and keeping the site aggravated. My prayers are with you and I hope you don't think I am being too pushy but I care about all of you so much.

I had my band removed due to erosion as well. I was thankful to have it removed but now wish I could have kept it. I can be rebanded in about two or three months since that is my 6 month wait period after being disbanded. I am also struggling with weight loss and it is an ongoing issue for me.
-
Just running in and out. Can't give you my weight results. NO scale available. I will weigh the week after I get home. UGH!! This has and is going to be a horrible gain. I know it. Too much good southern cooking going on. SIGH!!! Conference starts tomorrow. Then I will be incognito for 4 days. Then I fly home.

If you have any infection brewing it has the potential to lead to erosion. I SHOULD KNOW!! LISA (DELARLA) SHOULD KNOW!! Please don't take it lying down. DON'T wait almost a month to get something done. My surgeon had me in surgery within a week of finding out my issues. He had me in surgery to remove the band within HOURS of finding out my erosion. Any infection needs to be treated aggressively pronto. Any port infection needs to have the port removed (most likely that is the source of the infection) and have the surrounding tissue healed prior to any further surgery. Yes that most likely means an open wound that you will need to pack but that is the only way it will heal. Sepsis can set in fast and there are new critters mutating every day that become immune to all our great antibiotics. So don't treat an infection lightly. If you are not getting answers from your doc ask him to explain why he is waiting. Why isn't taking the port or band out and letting your area heal first before putting a new port or band back into an infected area worth exploring? What are the chances that this port or band would become infected too? What are the chances this might lead to an erosion? Get him to explain his answer in detail. If not then why not? Please be informed. I don't want any of you to lose your bands or ports. PLEASE ask the hard questions. And don't be afraid or timid to get some answers. Trish, please know I love you and want you to be healthy. This area does not look improved to me at all. Treating something like this topically with creams will only heal the surface. IT won't touch the real issue. Which could be your port. Here is my theory on this. Let's say you have an infection brewing around your port. The doc accesses your port to give you a fill. He has to stick the needle through the skin and into the infected area and then into your port. He has successfully just transfered an infection into your port and tubing as he entered the port then he has successfully spread the infection as he is exiting the skin. That is why you have an infection now at the site. Sorry if I offended you but I want you to get more aggressive about this.

I was trying to get on since Friday and it was down for me. I was just going into the shakes and shivers when I got my fix this morning. LOL!!! Glad to see it is back online.

I just posted about the Zetacaps on that thread.
-
The Zetacap I have is all natural Herb ingredients. I take one capsule with 8 oz of water. Wait 30 min then eat. I get the full feeling like I used to with being banded. If I was still banded then I would NOT NOT NOT recommend using this product. It does expand inside your stomach and therefore takes up space to make you eat less. They call it the Gastric Bypass pill. They could just as easily call it the LAPBAND pill too. It does the same thing. It takes up space where food normally would be. I recommend it highly if you are NOT NOT NOT banded.

Hello! Calling all Georgians, anybody there?
Penni60 replied to divaliciousdee's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Just some FYI! I will be in Peachtree City from the 19th through the 24th. I am going to be staying at Wyndham Hotel on Hwy 54 in Peachtree City. I am attending a Holistic Health Conference there and wonder if anyone has time to hook up while I am in town? Just a thought? If not then maybe next time I am coming through this way. -
Hey I started my Zetacap yesterday. They worked like a charm for supper last night. I only ate half my meal. Worked just like being banded only without the pain of a PB. I knew I was full and didn't eat anymore. They worked for lunch today as well. My problem meal is supper. I will just use them for that meal for awhile and see what happens. Maybe I found something that works. TIme will tell. Today's plan accomplishment: I will follow my Nutrisystem meal plans. (OK, back to the plan well for Breakfast and lunch anyway, Just can't seem to get supper on plan. :help: Still working on that and will till I reach this goal.) I will exercise for a minimum of 20 min a day 4 days a week. (nope none today) I will lose at least 1 lb a week. (Won't know till I weigh agian. Keep me in your prayers.) I will drink at least 64 ounces of Water a day. (Getting in the water is starting to get more easy. SIGH!!) Positive reinforcement mantras: I will continue to eat healthy and hope to lose weight. I will continue to exercise and hope to lose weight. I will continue to be proud of myself with all the accomplishments to date.
