Yes it can happen but that is up to the people that have the disagreement at the time to explose PRIVATE conversations. I personally don't like to see or hear two people having a disagreement in a public forum whether it is here or in a restaurant or wherever. I chose to ignore the disagreement as a lay person. But as a Moderator I do not have that luxury. I have to try to referee the disagreement so that the forum is not uncomfortable and things stay on track. All I ask is in the future if you (Collectively LBT) have an issue with another member PLEASE take it to a Private Message first. If you feel attacked then let a moderator or the owner of the board know and please give us some facts to work with not hearsay. OK Let's define foreign language? LOL!!! Because I was born and raised in the SOUTH people assume I speak a foreign language. Especially if they are from the NORTH. Hence John my s/o. LOL!! I have been on the WEst Coast too long cause now I am integrated into this mecca of all manor of languages out here. Farsi is the Saudia language and you spelled it right. I have a friend married to an Iranian and she speaks fluent Farsi. She even spoke some curse words in Farsi but I can't remember them now. Here is another weird word from my southern grandmother. "HOPE" sounds simple right? Here is how she used it in a sentence. "I need some hope over here chillins". Can you guess what she meant?

We saw the show at 8p last night. I am on the West Coast. So we get the same time frame for voting. My first memory was when I would sit down at the kitchen table on Sunday after church and my grandmother would FILL every inch of the table, countertop, stove top, with all kinds of food. Then you were expected to get a little of everything and eat everything on your plate. God love that woman but she was killing me with love. She poured her love into her cooking for the family. So I associated food with LOVE. Then later in life I associated it with "better eat all you can now because you don't know if there will be any food later." Sad but true. That is when the gorging started. Food = LOVE = not enough = one fat lady later in life struggling to gain back her youthful body. LOL!!!!

Hey leener: I don't know that there are any stats or facts listing the long term damage done to our bodies after Erosion. I don't know that there is any although I am no expert by any means. All I know is if healed properly the stomach should recover without any issues. If there was other damage done like an enlarged esophagus or ulcer development then that would require more therapy. But I am not sure it could be attributed to the band and erosion. Forgive me if I am not making sense. This has been a long day for me.

OK people if this thread gets out of hand it will have to be locked. I am a disbanded person as well and I face some of the same issues Lisa mentions. I want to eat that order of fries so I stay away from them because I know it will just fuel my fire. There is no newbies vs veterans. In my book there are just people trying hard to win this battle of the bulge the best way we all know how. If hearing what a former banded person has gone through scares you into NOT getting the band then that is YOUR choice. We cannot and should NOT OWN what scares YOU or makes YOU do or NOT do something. Take responsibility for your own actions and I will take responsibility for mine. Why would you give anyone that kind of power over you? If you make blanket statements saying you are scared to get a specific procedure because of what someone told you then you should also blame your surgeon because he or she should have given you the same information. That is called informed consent. OK I am finished. I may have overstepped my boundaries as a moderator but I am so fed up with all the bickering and back biting over the last few days.
