Pam: we all love it when it comes time for the Tree Trimming party. So much festive fun and one year we decorated the tree with a HUGE ladder. We had someone that straddled the top to put the star up there. It was HUGE I tell you. 13 ft tall tree. Gorgeous but HUGE. Great idea for a tree trimming shower party. Loads of fun. Post pics please.

Hey guys just wanted to lend my apologies to all of you fine people for letting the one thread get way out of hand. I had just as much to do with that as the starter of that thread. I sometimes forget that being such a strong willed person and not afraid to speak my mind can get me into situations that should be stopped long before they get to the point this thread did. I feel very strongly about the safety of the procedure along with the management of the patient whether there are complications or not after the surgery. Being an RN it really bothers me to see a surgeon not doing basic follow up by something as simple as a return phone call. Again I won't rehash the other thread on this post. I just wanted to send my apologies that it went as far as it did. I should have cut it off long before now. Thank you for all your support. This is what this site was set up for in the first place. Warm fuzzies all around. Let's all make a promise that it won't get like this again. I know I make that promise today. Megan really said it best that this is a place of caring, supportive, kind, loving people and it should remain that way. Ok enough said. Happy Holidays everyone. God bless us everyone.

You know I have thought about this post all day. This post has consumed our lives for the last few days and that is unacceptible to me. I for one will make a conscious effort to not be sucked into the vortex again like I was this time. For those of us that know our own experiences with particular doctors only we can speak to that and only we can determine how it will color our weight loss journey. I refuse to let my bad experiences dictate my journey. Margret I apologize to you for being snippet and rude because I know I was. I should not have allowed myself to be sucked into that arena. It won't happen again. Everyone else I apologize for including you in this communication. I know you didn't have to participate but we are such a family here that when one is attacked or it is a perceived attack we all descend on the attacker. Thank you for that but this post has changed what we all have come to love about this site. We need to take back the loving and caring and nurturing aspect we come here everyday to find. Thank you everyone.

It is so much easier when you have your partner working with you. I envy you both all that support and encouragement. I am not saying mine is supportive it is just easier to deal with when they know what you are really going through. Keep up the great job guys. Awesome Job!!! And yes I agree "GOD IS GOOD!"

Yeah this is an annual event around here for us. So I thought I would extend the invite to you guys as well. I know it is hard to travel for somethign like this during this time of year, but wanted to invite you guys anyway. There is always the March Bash for the 5K walk.

OK I have been really bad the last couple of days. I have done ZERO exercising. Yesterday was in bed all day with a migraine. The day before it was just to flipping cold to exercise outside and I am soooooooooooo not motivated to do it inside. So, today I thought I will get up and walk. Guess what? No walking for me today. I was playing and posting all darn day on another thread on this site. TOmorrow I go see Dr. Billy for a check up and most likely won't do anything tomorrow either. OK I felt a smack up side my head. WHO WAS IT?? I promise mom & dad I will do better. I promise I will. Can't I have the chocolate cookie now? (skulking in corner waiting for the other shoe to drop)

Judy: If I am not mistaken all or MOST anyway will tell you that. They don't wanna pay for the procedure period. You have to prove co-morbidities and have your doc write them a letter. Alexandra on here can best direct you what to do next. Don't give up hope just yet. I will say a prayer for you that the new year brings you everything you desire. OK well maybe not what you desire, but how about this weight loss and becoming healthier. IS that doable?

Hey anyone that wants to come for the Tree trimming party just let me know. We have room. I usually have it either the 18th or 19th that is a Saturday or Sunday. Typically we have it on Sunday. So seriously if anyone wants to help decorate and just visit then come on down. Loads of fun.

I have most of presents bought but not wrapped. I do a Christmas Tree Trimming party every year. We have a huge area where we put our tree. Last year we got a 9ft tree and the year before we had a 13 ft tree. We invite lots of our friends over and the only requirement is to bring one ornament to decorate the tree with. Then we all decorate the tree together. SO much fun. Lots of libation as well. It is a wonder the tree gets decorated at all. Here is a pic of last years tree.
