    Realize band C?

    Also she said to eat more Snacks because i was only eating about 900 cals per day. She said this might be why im hungry. She also yelled at me because last month she told me to increase my cals to at least 1000. I did try. I added low fat granola to my yogurt and 1oz pretzels as a snack. Both she said are simple carbs and to NOT eat them. Ok ok i get it. Off the shopping list. She wants me to add another yogurt, cheese stick instead of the granola and pretzels. I am already getting anywhere from 90~115 g of Protein daily. Ughhh......

    I completely agree with you thats why i posted this question. It just doesnt make sense to me either. She said they "dont fill any realize c band past 5cc". Im just like why would they even use it then.because what if i.need more than 5cc. I am losing good weight so that is not my concern. But if my band can hold 11cc im just not sure why they wouldnt utilize it. I have not seen my surgeon since the day of discharge. Got my band in june. Every time i go.for a visit i see the PA every time. I go back in october to see the PA again, she has me printing mfp logs everyday as well as weighing weekly and writing my exercise down. She.looks at everything goes over it with me. Then says i think your band is fine see you in 4~6 weeks. Im going to see if when i go back in november i can actually see my surgeon to see what she says. Since im not going to get a fill anytime soon.

    Thats what i found also. Im just wondering why they would only fill it to 5cc. I asked her and she said because people wouldnt be able to swallow good..etc. i have 4 cc in my band now from the first fill. Last month i lost 10 pounds so no fill. This month i lost 9 pounds so no fill. But i thought i needed a fill because im hungry im between meals, she told me to add some small Snacks in between. Thanks. Missy
  4. So i have been waiting for this moment for ever it seems. I thought i would of seen it weeks ago but for the last 3 weeks weight loss was only about 1 pound a week. But then BAM i step on the scale today and what did i see......195 oh YEA finally and i weighed 200 last week so awesome!!!!

    Made it to Onderland........Finally

    It is such a great feeling. I havent been under 200 pounds in many many years and hopefully i will NEVER see that number again. Thank you all you are all wonderful. I hope when i go to the dr on friday she doesnt look at the 9 pounds i lost since last visit to much ......last time i seen her she didnt give me a fill because i lost 10 pounds in a month (since the visit before that) but this was the only week in the month that i had more then a 1 pound loss...so i think i still need a fill i am getting hungry between meals very often like every 2 hrs. So hopefully i can get a lil fill.

    Insurance paying for gym memberships?

    I called my insurance company today. They dont pay anything towards gym memberships, but i do get a discount for being a student. That sucks i like my gym but it is very expensive.

    name your lapband?

    I thought i was weird to name it but i did. Shhhhh....dont tell anyone I named my band Anita. Anita Courcoulas was my surgeon. I believe my band is her signature, it has her name all over it, she placed it in me with faith it will help change my life. Its sorta like a work of art and the artist signs there name at the bottom to show off there work. Besides Anita tells me when to eat, how much and when i need to slow down. I love it

  10. Im almost there. I randomly weighed myself today after running almost 7 miles and swimming for 1/2 hour at the gym today. My usual weigh in day is tuesday. We will see what it says on tuesday. Total loss so far 58 pounds woohoo!!! I no i need to paint my toes :: [ATTACH]27825[/ATTACH]

    what i seen on the scale today

    Thank you. I do a minimum workout of 5 miles 3-4 x a week for now plus i swim on top of that i love swimming.
  12. I was banded the day before you june 18th 2013 i never took measurments but good idea. Keep up the great work!!! Its great to see us melting away isnt it?

    Thank god you decided go get the band. You may never knew about the cancer if you didnt have the preop tests done. I always take blessings like that to heart. Good luck to you!!!!
  14. At my recent visit with my dr i told her i still feel hungry in between lunch and dinner so i have a snack, its only supposed to be about 100 cals with Protein in it. Sometimes i eat a Protein Bar that is 180 cals ( because it works with hunger better) but she told me there are 3 reasons why i am hungry 1. Not enough calories Ex. If i only ate 200 cals for Breakfast and 500 for lunch i may need to add more to breakfast and take a little from lunch. 2. Make sure you are getting enough protein. Ex. Every meal breakfast, lunch , and dinner should be at least 20g of protein. That makes it easier to make sure you get at least 60g daily. If you only get 10g protein for breakfast you will be hungry before lunch. Makes sense right? 3. Too many sugar free products. The way my dr explained it to.me was it kinda tricks your brain into thinking its getting sugar, with the artificial sweetner. Now i drink crystal light and Mio in my Water daily but she recomended something called true lemon true lime true orange she says its a natural crystalized sweetner that wont trick our minds. Sometimes that can make the diffrence. I ordered mine online and hoping to see if this helps with the hunger in between meals. Good luck to you!!!!

    50lbs Loss

    50 pounds is awesome. I lost 54 pounds total so.far and sometimes its hard to "see" i lost so.much but clothes are so much looser and i feel great

  18. It took me about a week to feel."normal" but i no everyone is diffrent. I took the pain meds for a entire week and some take them for only 2-3 days.
  19. I seen my dr yesterday for what i thought would be my 2nd fill. But nope no fill. She was happy i lost 10 pounds since my last fill. I now wait till next month to see if i will get a fill. Im down to 204 hopefully i can be in onederland soon!!!

    June 2013 Bandsters - How are you doing?

    Yes as of today its now 53 pounds lost, 24 pounds since being banded. I am very happy with the results even though sometimes i feel like its going so slow....but thats ok.
