Kitt3000 got a reaction from ☠carolinagirl☠ in Popsicles !
Don't get dehydrated! If all you can get down is Popsicles, go for it! Call your doc before you have to be put on I.V. Fluids. You can go along time without food but you need water!

Kitt3000 reacted to DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! in Tummy Tuck Before & After Pics
Well I wasn't going to post these, but I figured I've been very open and honest about my journey so far and that I should continue to be open even now. I have to admit, posting these is a bit humiliating but I think it's important for people realize this surgery was no walk in the park. It was painful (and still is) and has a long recovery process. Losing over 200 pounds leaves a lot of excess skin.
Last week, May 1st, I had a tummy tuck/hernia repair/skin removal surgery.
The top pictures are the before pics taken the morning of surgery. The after pics are taken today, 8 days later.
You can see on the before pics I had A LOT of extra skin. You can also see the very large hernia sticking out on my upper tummy.
I am still really swelled, have staples from hip to hip, and drains in but I I think my surgeon did an incredible job.

I try to look at situations like this as a blessing. There may be a reason why you are meant to have a delay. Have patience, it will happen when it is supposed to.

Kitt3000 reacted to Terry Poperszky in Look who else has a band!
I can only hope there is a news crew around the first time someone tells him what a bad decision he made in choosing the band over the sleeve
Or better yet, he choose the easy way out, all he really needed to do was "Eat less, and move more".

Kitt3000 got a reaction from victoriously in what's this feeling?
Since everyone says each person is different, I would listen to your body. If you are loosing and staying full, I feel your doc will let you know if you do not need additional. How awesome to be there so soon!

Kitt3000 got a reaction from balbuquerque in One week postop issues
My doc told me not to expect the desire to eat for two to three days, and if I did, only Clear Liquids. I left a box of broth in the fridge, and when I did want something, I had a few teaspoons of it, lots of Water 24 hours, and a fruit punch Protein Drink, mixed into a water bottle, to sip on. It takes time for your body to progress to the Protein Shakes. Then to puréed, then mushies, then real food. I promise, you won't starve to death that quick!
I am so sorry you are having a rough start. One thing I know, if something does not work for you, (human or animal) go back a few steps, start where you were successful, then build on it. One step, one hour, one day at a time.

For me is seeing the weight come off every month. My clothes getting to big. Having more energy and being able to walk longer each week. Getting off all the medicines for cholesterol and blood pressure. Start with small obtainable goals you can achieve. You can do it!!

Kitt3000 reacted to ChickenLady in Stomach sounds like a bathroom/ toilet bowl
I have had the same exact issues!! It will rubble so much it physically hurts. I don't feel hungry (I don't think). Before my surgery I never let my self get hungry enough to let my tummy growl. I am thinking my issue is my body is physically hungry but I don't realize it till my tummy goes nuts. If that makes any since? Maybe this is one of those things they tell you about having to re-learn your body?
