Ugh 2 yrs so far. I am 3 years out lost 100 lbs the first year and unfortunately started with bad knees and they need surgery replacement they said but no one will do it because I'm only 37. It has been rough because I can do much so keeping wait off has been hard. I am started to get depressed. We all know what depression does. I've noticed stress and depression makes me gain without stress eating how I don't know. My goal was to get to 250 and work my way down to 200 it's been impossible. But I'm holding on to hope and faith that God will give me the strength to get there!

I was sleeved on may 10th and have lost a total of 25lbs since the day of surgery. However I have reached my first stall. I have been at the same wait for a a few days now but I knew it was coming thanks to this site. It will start to come off more when I can do more I guess.. What I am struggeling with now is foods what to eat. I am someone who knows how to cook but I am not good with healthy cooking and I need to learn A LOT of new things.. I hope I can find something new quick.. any suggestions.

Hang in there.. I'm 10 days out and 25lbs down.. it feels great in so many ways...what has helped me is remembering how bad I want this...

Sleeved 5/10. I have had no problems from surgery. However I think I've done so well I forget I was sleeved. I have caught myself getting spoon fulls of the dinner I make for my family and spitting it out. Lol. I do feel some things I eat like cream of wheat..refried beans.. I actually feel them going down my stomach and it makes me nervous. Oh and what about those damn Iron pills..gross when crushed..ugh.. otherwise down 25lbs.

oh yes' date=' i remember the first few weeks post op. Just miserable....I didn't dream about food but that is not uncommon. Hold out until your doc oks for solid food, it is hard to digest at first and makes your tummy feel really weird. Hang in there, you can do it!!!![/quote']Hello magpie30.. so I thought the same thing about weird feeling as I progress to cream of wheat.. do u feel ur food going down into ur new stomach? It doesn't hurt but man its weird. Will it always be this way? Sleeved 5/10

I asked my insurance blue shield in Oct 2012 if it was covered 3 different times they said yes all 3 times.. I've done all required tests and now have surgery date 5/10 and they are requesting 6 consecutive months of medical notes from diets, therapy etc..why didn't they mention this those 3 times I called... So frustrated. Wanted recovery to be in this exact time frame...soooo annoyed!! Anyone else have this problem?

I am 14 months out and have lost 104% of my excess weight. It is very difficult at first to get everything in. I know you are anxious to eat real food' date=' but it is better at this point to go for the better nutrition choices. The liquid Protein does double duty, so I recommend that you choose those for the first month-2. Also, things like Greek yogurt or low/non fat cottage cheese, where you get more Protein in less food. I did not try to eat 3/meals 2/snacks at first. I put Protein powder in my Water and sipped it all day. Try walking early in the day. The commercial that says " a body in motion tends to stay in motion" is actually true. Getting your circulation going early in the day will help create more energy! Hope this helps. = )[/quote']Good info.thank you..

What if I get a blood clot how will I know or will I before its to late? Anyone else have these thoughts? I haven't changed my mind its either this and get on right track to healthier me or start picking out how I want to be buried... And leaving my children motherless is not on my to do list!!

I had the same problem my primary care physician gave me diet pills. I have to say it worked I eat it's not a problem I just don't feel hungry so often. Thank god because I was not gonna keep feeling that way. I completely understand it was so annoying I think that's the only reason I was able to keep my 100 lbs off. Now If I could find a surgeon who will replace my knees I would be so happy to work off the next 80lbs I would like to lose!! I did tell me doc I never thought I'd see another diet pill after surgery and she said it's not for diet just hunger pains and well it worked and continues to work 5 months in a row hunger pains suck!!
