Possible VSG complication 2 years out
villa2924 replied to 4dogcrazy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had the same problem my primary care physician gave me diet pills. I have to say it worked I eat it's not a problem I just don't feel hungry so often. Thank god because I was not gonna keep feeling that way. I completely understand it was so annoying I think that's the only reason I was able to keep my 100 lbs off. Now If I could find a surgeon who will replace my knees I would be so happy to work off the next 80lbs I would like to lose!! I did tell me doc I never thought I'd see another diet pill after surgery and she said it's not for diet just hunger pains and well it worked and continues to work 5 months in a row hunger pains suck!! How long was your first stall
villa2924 replied to noonie79's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ugh 2 yrs so far. I am 3 years out lost 100 lbs the first year and unfortunately started with bad knees and they need surgery replacement they said but no one will do it because I'm only 37. It has been rough because I can do much so keeping wait off has been hard. I am started to get depressed. We all know what depression does. I've noticed stress and depression makes me gain without stress eating how I don't know. My goal was to get to 250 and work my way down to 200 it's been impossible. But I'm holding on to hope and faith that God will give me the strength to get there! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

villa2924 replied to mrsplusamericajacksonville's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved on may 10th and have lost a total of 25lbs since the day of surgery. However I have reached my first stall. I have been at the same wait for a a few days now but I knew it was coming thanks to this site. It will start to come off more when I can do more I guess.. What I am struggeling with now is foods what to eat. I am someone who knows how to cook but I am not good with healthy cooking and I need to learn A LOT of new things.. I hope I can find something new quick.. any suggestions. -

Hang in there.. I'm 10 days out and 25lbs down.. it feels great in so many ways...what has helped me is remembering how bad I want this... -
Sleeved 5/10. I have had no problems from surgery. However I think I've done so well I forget I was sleeved. I have caught myself getting spoon fulls of the dinner I make for my family and spitting it out. Lol. I do feel some things I eat like cream of wheat..refried beans.. I actually feel them going down my stomach and it makes me nervous. Oh and what about those damn iron pills..gross when crushed..ugh.. otherwise down 25lbs.

Ok I have been slowly working my way to soft foods or mushy.. I had cream of wheat..my question is when you started eating these things did you literally fell it going Dow in your new stomach.. I do.. its nit painful its really weird.. u wonder if its because the surgery is still new it was on..5/10.

So its day 3 so far the only problem has been soreness, as we all know moving around hurt at our weight isn't pleasant.. other than that liquid intake is good. Dr says full liquids when I go home today or tomorrow. I'm so happy I did this I thought it would be far worse recouping oh and of course I started my period enough said.. lol
