Ok, I'll be in TX on 7/1. What part of TX are you in? I'm from FL but in GA right now to celebrate my son's 30th birthday. Then I'm off to San Antonio and San Marcos, TX. FL was cooler than GA (Atlanta). So, if TX is hotter than GA I'm not looking forward to that lol. I plan on walking but I don't want to pass out from the TX heat. So what's the best time to walk in TX, would it be early in the morning? Btw, my son has me walking all over GA., so that is good because I'm not burning enough calories, but the heat and humidity is horrendous! Hopefully, I'll lose some weight. Good luck on your journey, I know we can all do this!

I'm in Titusville , FL and I would live ANY place in FL . I lived in NY Long Island for over 30 years, would take a hurricane over a nor'easter any day lol.

Thanks for the heads up!

Well I use a straw and I wasn't told NOT to use a straw. So, in a public restaurant I will only use a straw. My doctor had originally banned carbonation but in small amounts it is OK. So I occasionally indulge in a diet Coke or diet Pepsi but not everyday l used to drink a diet soda everyday but not anymore. Now if they took my coffee away I'd be in serious trouble lol. I love my coffee!

Hey , I'm with you on the 5th fill. It's not here yet buy I'm hoping 6 will be the magic number. I can still eat a cup of food easily and still want a little more but I stop after a cup. It's not going to drop off like a by-pass but my friend has already gained almost all her 100 lbs back through bypass. WLS is not a magic bullet no matter what procedure you choose but I'm praying I hit that sweet spot in the green zone too. Good luck to you!

Well, I'm fairly new compared to your surgery dates but please, I need support too so I'd be glad to give you moral support. Banded 12/28/12. Thanks!

Well I don't drink a whole beverage during a meal but I do take sips of Water usually after thoroughly chewing my food. I really haven't had a problem what I don't understand how the pouch would get dilated on a couple of sips of water. Then after I'm finished eating I wait about a half hour and finish my water. So far I haven't had a problem

My insurance paid all but $1,000 of my surgery. I have never been more committed to losing weight insurance or no insurance. I was ready to self pay but my doctor considered my WLS as medically necessary. I am so committed to losing weight more than ever now.

How do you know when you need a fill?

We all have cravings but your tool when properly filled will help you to eat in smaller quantities. I eat everything I did before but in extreme moderation. Hang in there, you will still be eating just a lot less

Prayers for you all. I've been there and done that when I was a high risk pregnancy 30 years ago. I was on heparin I'VE for 5 months of my pregnancy.

Congratulations on your son!

Your mom is right, even try lugging a 10 lb bag of potatoes all day, then let it go.... Feels better doesn't it? Every pound lost is a victory so good for you losing that weight!
