Don't forget sugar free Popsicles for hydration as well. There is also the no sugar added fudgecicles which are 40 calories. Make sure you have some kind of either chewable or gummie vitamin daily as well.

  5. Have to agree with Missy and Missy should know she has lost over 200 lbs! She should know and no way was Missy being rude. I didn't take it that way either. Best of luck to you and FYI I went to Riviera Maya 6 months ago and had an awesome time and lost weight too! Have fun!

    Saw an Ex-boyfriend Yesterday

I love it! Silence is golden! Justice is such sweet revenge! That is truly justice and always let him wonder what he missed. Good for sticking to your guns!
  8. OMG weight is a personal, and touchy subject. I was teased and bullied all my life about my weight and what a pretty face I had and if I'd only lose weight. My mother (RIP) would one minute tell me what a fat can I had and the next minute she was praising me so I grew up confused and hurt. The only way I would even hint at WLS is if the person was asking me how I was losing weight. I would never suggest that they need WLS. In fact, my friend weighs over 450. She put 100 lbs in the last year alone. She is under a tremendous amount of stress. She is on XANAX for severe depression. The last thing I would want to do is suggest WLS. However, the other day she asked me how I was losing weight so I told her I had WLS. She said she would never consider WLS, so I dropped the subject but the seed has now been planted in her brain of how I'm losing weight.

  10. Whoa! I don't think I could afford any of those procedures upfront. Do any of these surgeons have payment plans? What about care credit?

    My IBS has gone.....

Are you considering a gluten free diet? Celiac Disease is caused when certain people eat wheat. My boyfriend is on a gluten free diet. I had a veggie stuffed crepe with cheese and I'm thinking the crepe may have triggered my attack. I hadn't had any type of crepe in well over a year. So, I'm going to try and avoid wheat products myself.

    My IBS has gone.....

Mine came back yesterday as well. We were leaving a restaurant when I told my boyfriend to wait for me. I was in the bathroom 25 minutes. I was doing so good too. This is the first episode I've had in 8 months. I'm thinking that my digestive tract is readjusting because I've been doing great until yesterday. Wishing you well.

NSV never before has this happened!

That is awesome! My surgeon is so supportive of me. I had told him what my PCP said about my lapband surgery being a "miserable failure", yes, my PCP said that. So my surgeon said well I consider your PCP a miserable failure for not recognizing how far I have come. Not only that, my surgeon reminded me that my highest weight was 289 not 267 (like I thought). So my surgeon said he was proud of me and eventhough I'm "slowly" losing that I had lost 74 lbs from my highest weight and my surgeon said my PCP didn't do it, I did it and to be proud of myself. I love my surgeon, even when I had a 2 lb gain he didn't lecture me. He said that I have made amazing non scale victories as well. I'm so glad your OB/GYN is so supportive, it means a lot!
  20. I'd say ship around. My surgeon's brother is a plastic surgeon and they work hand in hand. So the plastic surgery would not be a problem for him considering the port. I'm only 8 months out and will wait awhile before I consider plastic surgery.

Port needs to be replaced :(

It's a simple day surgery procedure. My port had flipped so it had to be revised. It's not like when you were banded initially. There should be very little to no pain. It's a superficial wound and you should be out of the OR in no time. The doctor will most likely advise liquids for two days then back to how you eating before your port needed replacing.
