Just do it! Don't be ashamed just go to your doctor, get weighed in and let your doctor decide if you need a fill. I go every 4 to 6 weeks to my doctor. He gave me a very tiny fill this time but I also had a 3 lb gain. It wasn't the amount of food it was the caloric intake. So, I'm more aware of what I'm eating and counting calories. It is so key to getting the weight.

Nice! I live in Titusville, FL. (Not far from Port Canaveral) and they put a synchronized music light display every year. Sadly, I can't have a Christmas tree because I have 7 cats and they think the tree is a toy. I used to put a tree up until it got to tiring to replace all the ornaments they would knock off the tree. Then one of the cats tried to eat the twinkly lights so I enjoy looking at other people's trees and decorations.

dawalsh replied to secondchancesally's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
i've known my boyfriend since 1988, we've been together since 1998. He has seen me at my highest weight, he's seen me go up and down like a yo yo. It has been unconditional love all these years later.I realize your dilemma where you want the security of love and a relationship but love is unconditional. You deserve better and most of us would be thrilled weighing 179 lbs. hold your head up high and be proud of your accomplishments. God bless you! -
The Siren's Song Of The Last Bite....
dawalsh replied to Terry Poperszky's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
that's my problem too. My head says one more bite but my stomach says NO! It's definitely a mind game that my body has to get used to! -
I don't have any issues with carbonated beverages but having said that. I've heard that too much soda (even diet) is not good for your skin. I've cut back drastically on diet soda. I used to drink it everyday but now I let the diet soda sit to make it goes slightly flat. I do enjoy very much ICE naturally flavored sparkling mountain water. I have at least one bottle daily. Have not had any issues. Good luck to you.

Why does he think he's going to away with the band? That's the only surgery I would consider after being told that I would lose 75.% of my stomach. I was not a candidate for bypass surgery. I was afraid of bypass surgery as well eventhough I did not qualify for it. I'm very happy with the band. Banded on 12/28/12.

dawalsh replied to calicakes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 11 months post op and I'm still gurgling. I don't know if it ever goes away. -
Tried it for years, it never worked for me that's why I got banded. So far, the band is working for me. I've had my band 11 months almost.

I'm A Brand New Band!
dawalsh replied to bigmommybutt's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You are still swollen from the surgery. That full feeling goes away, I was feeling full post op the first few weeks. Well, that feeling went away after about 6 weeks. Some bandsters never need a fill but I've been getting fills every 6 weeks since January, 2013. I seriously believe I am finally near the green zone. I like the fact that I see the doctor every 6 weeks it keeps me in tow. -
I think you look great and you look even better without the jacket.

I'm still gurgling lol. I have 7 cats and when these wired noises come out of me they all have that "deer in the headlight" look. I crack up when they stop dead in their tracks when I start gurgling!

Well, my co-pay went from$30 to $42 for specialists. I see my WLS Doctor once a month. I will be paying $12 more per month. I know, it doesn't sound like a lot but $12 a month when you're on a fixed income hurts. That's $144 a year so affordable care act? I don't know. I hope WLS will still be covered. I find this all very scary.
