When did u stip crushing ur meds?
Joe I replied to newme31's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Me too. -
Not that I'm any where near maintenance yet, I'm about 4 weeks out and 50 lbs down from the start. But I have done this before went from 290 to 220 and then ever so slowly back up to 300+. Then down down 40 and up 30, countless times. I hope this surgery will enable me to keep control of these fluctuations. I've always worked out to some degree my problem has been portion control. I guess time will tell how I do. Is anyone else concerned about how they will do once they reach goal?

My NUT and Dr. said no soda or carbonated beverage (beer) ever again. I never drank soda but I sure liked my IPA's. If it helps me loose and keep of the weight I'll do it.

For me it once a week on Wednesdays, why Wednesdays I'm not sure it happened that way. If there been a small or no loss its hard not to get on before my next scheduled weigh in but so far I've resisted the temptation.

3 weeks out and new pain at main extraction point
Joe I replied to magpie30's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 3 weeks out also and have had pain at the site starting at 2 weeks out. At my 2 week post-op appointment my Doc said its normal I may have overdone it and could hurt for up to 6 weeks. Its gotten better but still hurts. good luck... -
I'm 3 weeks out, and for me its the same as I was pre-op I get up maybe once a night. Sometimes if I get my water in early enough I wont get up at all. I use a CPAP, and it was explained to me if you don't get to REM sleep your kidneys continue to work and you have to get up and go more often. I have never had pain going.

Emotions and sleeve tightness
Joe I replied to erp's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not sure about your sleeve but the same thing happened to me and my dog on a walk last year. I promptly went out and bought pepper spray, and its non part of what I take on every walk. -
I was sleeved on Monday the 4th it seems like I burp after every time I swallow, water, pudding, protein drink it doesn't seem to matter. It doesn't hurt I feel good otherwise. Is this happening to anyone else?

I don't wanna talk about it.
Joe I replied to mwrarr's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know I felt the same way, I was sleeved in March 4th, what I did was go to my happy place as often as needed. As soon as the bad thoughts would creep in, off I would go to the boat fishing on a warm summer day listening to a Tiger ball game, sometimes I would even catch a fish... It will work out for you just let it you'll be fine. -
Ya, dump the looser!!!

15 days post op worst night ever
Joe I replied to MindyJ's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Same story for me I was sleeved on March 4th about 10 days out right side started hurting with every movement, that's the side where they took out my stomach. At my 2 week post-op appointment and my surgeon said the same thing, it will be tender for 6 weeks or more. My job is very physical he gave me another week off for a total of 5 weeks and said to call if I need more. -
I was sleeved on March 4th and I,m feeling good the only time I hurt is when I bend over with pants around my waist, if I pull the pants down the pain is much less. The pain is on the right side above the belly button. Is anyone else having this type of pain? I see my doc on Wednesday I'll be sure and ask him.

I was walking a couple of hours after surgery on March 4th, I walked around the block first day home. Two miles around the neighborhood two days later. The weather turned bad so I went to my gym and tried walking on a treadmill, I hate the treadmill, so I jumped on an elliptical and went for 35 minutes and have been going every day since, 45 to 60 minutes fairly hard HR around 150. I worked out hard before the procedure figuring I'd have a head start after I had it. So far so good...
