I have my first appointment tomorrow. I am meeting with the dietitian and doctor to start my 6 months of supervised weight loss. What if I mess up? What if I can't do it?

I have my first appointment next Wednesday. I have to meet with the dietitian along with the physician. According to my insurance company I have to wait 6 months before I can have my band placed. What am I going to do for 6 month waiting on this to be place?

I have been thinking about getting the lap band surgery done for quite some time now. I am going to a free seminar this Saturday to get some point questions answered. I guess my biggest questions are is how long will I be off work. And how does the surgery go.
