WOW 23 lbs in 10 days is amazing!! Unfortunately, my doctor said I can't have any protein shakes until after 10 days of my surgery...I am on Day 6 today so I still have 4 more days to go before I can start drinking my shakes. -

Hi I just had my surgery 5 Days ago and am barely getting in 176 calories and 40 gm of protein. Been living off Unjury chicken broth, sugar free popsicles, and PowerAid Zero. What else did you guys eat/drink during Phase 1? -

Thank you for your feedback. I feel better because I was getting worried. I'll just keep trying to sip as much as I can. -

Doctor said I can't have protein shakes until Phase 2. Are those ready to drink Isopure clear liquids? -

I had my surgery on Wednesday and am going back to work tomorrow Monday. I feel fine with no pain. I work as a secretary so I'll be sitting for most of the day. -
Protein shakes week 1?
Sleeve Girl replied to CoreyCan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor is a bit more strict. He said I have to be on clear protein for 10 days. Each phase will be 10 days until I get to solids. Yikes! -
April 1st ... no fooling!
Sleeve Girl replied to nightingale2u's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi Darcy, Glad to hear you are doing better and have lost 18 lbs! My mom will be with me the whole time I'm there so that gives me some comfort. It would be nice to meet up with someone having the surgery same day as me. I have to admit I'm getting mixed emotions already about the surgery...excited and scared at the same time. Anyway, best wishes to you and thanks again for taking the time to reply. -

Dr. Aceves is doing my surgery in 8 days. How was your experience there and more importantly how are you doing? -
I'm also scheduled April 25th with Dr. Alberto Aceves.

Any Suggestions for a Bariatrics Office/Surgeon in San Diego, CA for VSG?
Sleeve Girl posted a topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
Hi everyone! I'm a mother of two boys and was once 130 lbs at 5'4". After my pregnancies I gained weight and am now 215 lbs. I'm considering getting sleeved and would appreciate any suggestions/recommendations for a good bariatrics office in or near San Diego, CA. I saw someone else on here who has the same insurance I do in the same state as I am get approved so I'm motivated to take the next step to starting the process of getting the surgery. Thanks in advance for your help! -
anthem blue cross california- anyone have any issues?
Sleeve Girl replied to dustdog77's topic in Insurance & Financing
What was the process you underwent for pre ops in order to get your insurance to approve? Do you contact the surgeon, then does the surgeon perform tests such as sleep apnea, etc. and then make the recommendation for surgery? I'm considering having the sleeve done but still need to find a surgeon in San Diego, Ca and go from there. I hope everything works out for you. Having your insurance approved is a big step! -
Congratulations! I'm considering having the sleeve as well but need to find out if my insurance will cover it. Not looking forward to that process. I have Anthem Blue Cross. Anyway, congratulations again!
