    Today has been 3 wks since I was banded and I am feeling wonderful! I am back in the gym every day, was able to get in the pool last night for H2O Fitness Class. And I am training for my first 5K. Total loss so far is 27.2 Lbs Total loss since Banded is 13.9 Lbs ! YAY!!!!! 100.8 Lbs to go.. I love this pic and how true it is. I think sometimes its hard not to say well ABC has lost _______ already or why am I working so hard and the weight is not justt falling off. BUT if we really evaluate who we were yesterday as long as we are more healthy today, we are moving in the right direction. Can I run on the Elliptical 30 seconds longer today than yesterday before I have to slow back down to a walk. Are my pants fitting better or are they loose. Here is one of the first thing I noticed and it sounds silly.. I HAVE SAUSAGE FINGERS there you go I said it. Like had to hold my hands under cold water and really work to get my rings off prior to surgery. About a wk ago I noticed not only were my rings spinning I could easily get them on and off with little to no effort. HELLO Christy!!! that was a HUGE NSV for me.... that same wk the scale did not budge but I knew other parts of me were changing and for the good.
  3. I am on mushies right now I drink a shake for bfast and one right before I go to gym... I eat apple sauce, refried beans, soup found great receipes In the bandwagon cookery cook book... got mine on amazon has tons of great receipes and she has amendments to some for liquid phases and pureed phases has been a life saver... scrambled eggs...chilli, dr says chicken salad but I am not that brave yet....cottage cheese.. yogart..etc
  4. I am on mushies... I drink a shake for bfast ,apple sauce for morning snack... soup or chille for lunch .. cottage cheese low fat mid afternoon and a protein shake on way to gym... then dinner whenever I make it home..lol

    I started mushies a wk ago, enjoy! But I completly understand I was a little fearful too just make sure what you eat is truely mushie and go slow and make sure to measure.. I can only eat about 1/4 c at a time. . you will do just fine

  18. do you have access to a pool with a fitness class like water aerobics? My gym offers it and I LOVE IT... I thought It would be full of much older ladys and I would be the only 30 something there but thats not the case ( there are even men that go) its a full body work out but its perfect if you have joint pain and tons of fun... I do the Elliptical for 40-60 min at a time 5-6 days a wk then the H2O fitness 3-4 times a wk.( i have a bad knee and a lot of things really hurt it but the pool is great. Just an idea

  21. I was banded april 3 still a little sore around port not too bad tho mainly when I bend the wrong way
  22. I completely understand I have an imediate family member doing the same thing right now. I think its because deep down my weight loss is stirring up his own weight issues and insecruitys. My hubby has told me dont call him if he calls you talk but try to blow it off.... so now I normally answer the phone get mad then go to the gym to blow it off( I will succeed despite the snide remarks) Keep you chin up and find something other than food to turn to
