Even though I am not that old, I have had cholesterol and blood sugar issues for a year now. I need to lose 65 pounds and I desperately want to avoid being a full blown diabetic and don't want to take cholesterol medicine due to side effects. So...I decided to do bariatric surgery. I was very nervous about such a drastic lifestyle change because I love food. I love to watch it on TV, read cookbooks, shop for it, cook it, and eat it! Now that I am post op, I am excited and a little scared-excited at the possibility of getting my health and weight under control and focusing on other parts of life. Scared that I will fail once again.
