I lost 45 lbs or was it 50 before my first fill... I know it was definitely 30lbs the first 3 weeks....good luck

just came from my local Dr. and me say's this erosion is very very serious!! He is going to have to cut me open and I will be in the hospital for up to 5 days. my surgery on on the 11 of November.

Donali, I know you have been where I am at now.... all I can say is "this sucks" well I have made peace with it and I am ready to move on... thanks for writing me..... what was your recovery time after your removal?

thank you everyone!!! If I am going to look at the bright side, yes, I have come along way...125lbs and I know I can do this on my own. I am not sure if i am going to be rebanded. I am going to go to weight watchers my sister has lost 50 lbs on tha tprogram.. so I thought I would give it a try.. The best advice I can give to all you bandsters is: Do exactly what your Dr. tells you! NEVER take medication if you dont know that you can! ask your band Dr. first... take care of your band and dont abuse it at any cost! I was on oral antibiotics for almost 2 month and I believe that it ate a whole in my band...again. NEVER NEVER take pills if your not sure that you can... I only hope that in my sadness and loss of my band I can inspire someone to take care of there band. Love, Francesca

I am home.. and I still have my band.... I am sooooooooo sad and I also could not believe that this is happining to me. Thank you for all the well wishes and support, I need it!!! Thank you Michelle, you are the best. And I just checked my messages when I got home. George from Dr. Ortiz's office called, a little too late I am home...... I will call them Monday.. I am going to wait to have my band removed. Dr. Martinez thinks I should have had it done ASAP but I will have to have to wait... wish me all the best during this waiting period.. In the meantime I am going to get serious and lose my last 40 lbs before I have my band taken out..I probably have 2 months or so.. maybe less maybe more.. who knows... As far as symptoms NO , just went in for a routine fill This apparently happens a lot!!!!! I am proof. My Dr. told me of 3 recent cases.Guess I am still a little bummed and bitter!! as of October 3rd I will be off work for 1 month... I had my right hand operated on and my left will be on wednesday for carpel tunnel...so just think how long it's taking me to type this..lol anyway, I am going to be coming to San Diego for a visit and a fill. I am going to start over like I have read a lot of other bandsters are doing...I eat like crap I NEVER drink Water and I have even been drinking soda lately. I eat high fat and high sugar foods. and Snacks all day... My best friend is also overweight, her and I have made a pact to get serious together... after my arms are all healed we are going to work out.. but before that I am going to really get back to basics.... wish me luck.. I have gone this far....I need to finish my journey........... any advice?

Kerouac's work is captivating once a person has been exposed to it. He was truly a genius. Bill Burroughs was also a great one. If anybody hasn't checked him out, do yourself a favor and give his stuff a shot. Be sure not to rent the DVD version of "Naked Lunch", however. At least read the book first. It chills me to think somebody would see that film, then draw a judgement about Burroughs' work from it!

that is probley my problem! I do not enough Water. I have been on antibiotics for almost 2 months.... this sucks...I didn't tell anyone but 2 week before the bash I was in the hospital for 8 days with a bad reaction to a med.... it almost killed me. but I was fine for a few weeks but the infection is back again and I have to be on more anti's. this time around I am having this problem.... it sucks. also do i take 1 pill? and how often? thanks Michelle forgeting back with me.

I am like Michelle, I go to bed at night thinking "tomorrow I am going to be good" and yet tomorrow I get up and eat bad right off the bat. it sucks,,,, so again I am going to have a good day tomorrow..... I WANT THIS LAST 40 LBS OFF!! I also weight myself everyday... up and down 1 to 2 lbs it sucks. I am going to throw my scale out........not.......I am addicted.help

hello, been reading everyday..getting a few laughs. you know me read read read hardly ever post..... but, THIS THREAD IS GETTING OLD AND BORING!!!!!
