Welcome, Feb Bandsters!

Hi, I'm late joining this group. Surgery on 2/18/13, as of today 6/10/13 I'm down 20 lbs. Feeling discouraged and frustrated. And advice. My goal is to get anywhere between 130-150. Is it supposed to go this slow or am I just really messing this whole thing up? Eat oatmeal for breakfast, lite lunch, and usually fish/chicken for dinner. No snacks, soda's, milkshakes. Also, any advice on scars? My surgeon said to use vitamin E oil....not working at all. Please share.
2. Hi, anyone from this group still on LBtalk? I just signed back in. Checking to see how everyone is doing....I'm only 20 down and starting to get frustrated.
3. Welcome Della! Congratulations on your surgery. If you are on FB, I tend to be on there more and trying to start a banders group on there. Search for me as Emily Wood in Chesnee, SC. Looking forward to hearing more from you.
4. @Dave, heating pad, upper-body stretching, gax-ex, and if you have someone to rub your shoulders and upper back, that helps the most, especially a little elbow action.

I am concerned though. Anyway, excited to have you as a Lab-band sista! I'm Emily be the way and use Facebook the most. Find me under Emily Wood in Chesnee, SC.
7. On day 6, was recovering nicely, but now have some type of pain to the left of the incision. ..hurts when I take deep breaths, yawns, etc. Any advice what that could be. It's constant. Hoping I didn't over do it yesterday with my super mom attitude.
8. Can I join your buddy group? Was banded in 2/18, I'm 31, and have a very supportive husband and 6 year old sweet boy. Would love to have some/ give some support to fellow banders. Day 3

Hope the headache is gone. Use heating pad and gaxex for shoulder pain. Hope today was better.
11. So Mellz, how are you doing today?
12. Still getting easier and enjoying more variety. Pre-prepping individual oz and graphing keep me on track. Normal life is still taking getting use to. Went to go to a 50th birthday party and stopped by the store for more yogurt, and that over did it for me. Feeling some new pain to the left of my incision and felt 2 chest pains while at the store. Since I've been back home in pj's and heating pad, starting to feel better. That was the first unrecognizable incident since the surgery. Off to rest now. Good night and the rest of you stay focused on your goals. WE GOT THIS!
13. Hey, you got this. Keep a positive mind. It gets better everyday and you feel better each day. Small goals and baby steps. Be proud of where you are thus far! :-)
14. Hey Dave. When I get back to a computer, I will add you to me email. I want to start my on blog, so if I do, I'll let you know. Days 1-3 were simi rough, but very manageable. Mentally, I felt like I conquer the world. I'm staying strictly to my oz feeding scedule and to my medicine schedule. Taking this whole process one day at a time, stage by stage. Today I actually git outside and enjoyed a walk through the farm and watched the sun set from my front porch. Daily reality set back in with my husband returning to work and me being back on Mommy duty, but I also have family help. Biggest help for me to keep it all straight is having an organized note book of all material, fully stocked on each product from stage 1&2, keeping a small dry erase board around to scedule meds and track each oz of liquid consumed. Been stretching upper body and moving around to help with gas trapped in shoulders and chest. With all things considering, I feel amazing and still looking forward to this journey. You keep it up as well, Dave. Slowly, it gets better and is worth it.
