  1. Well this is good news, I too have BCBS Iowa. My EGD is scheduled for Friday. I am here at the doctor now for my PreOpt for the EGD. I had to force my insurance to submit without it.
  2. I can totally relate.... I just want to be on the other side of this journey.
  3. Has anyone been submitted to insurance and approved before having their EGD done?
  4. What insurance do you have?

    December Surgeries

@@Mia83 Have you been approved yet?
  6. The insurance coordinators are dropping the ball. My EGD is scheduled for next Friday the 24th, but they are telling me they can't submit it without approval. I know it's a bunch of BS, cause 2 of my co-workers got approved and neither of them had a EGD done.
  7. I completed my last supervised diet visit today. My file will be submitted to insurance today. I can't wait to hear the good news and have an official date.

  10. How long did it take Dr Reilly's office to get you scheduled once you were approved? I chose him as my doctor also through True Results.
  11. @@orlando Your big day is coming soon! How is the pre-opt diet coming along?
  12. Has received confirmed results, removing the 6 month supervised diet as a requirement? I am asking because I heard of other BSCS entities changing.

    Anyone having surgery in November

My last appointment will be October 12 th. Hopefully, I have an approval shortly after that! I am planning for a November surgery. I am sick of being fat! The wait can't end soon enough! I have 3 more classes to go!
  14. I hear people saying they can get slider foods down just fine. What are they?
  15. Who is your insurance company? I would talk to whoever your advocate is and let them know you're already approved. You need to have the approval in writing for them to schedule your surgery.
  16. I am going thru true results Houston. They told me you have you have an insurance approval before scheduling the surgery. How many supervised visits do you have left ?
  17. I have BCBS of Iowa and was told I have to do 6 months of supervised weight-loss visits and 1 NUT visit? Anyone hear anything different?
  18. How many did you have to do and what insurance do you have?
  19. I have BCBS Iowa and my insurance only requires 1 supervised NUT visit. I initially went to True Results and they told me I had to do 6 visits but a private doctor told me I only had to do 1 visit. Is anyone else experiencing the same situation? I think I am going to go with the private doctor. I think True Results is trying to scam me. I looked into my billing summary and explanation of benefits and they billed for Breathing problems and sleep apnea. That is not what I went in for, It was suppose to be a supervised weight-loss visit. Is that strange or what?

    Just Starting 6 Month Program

This month is my 2nd weightloss visit. I am trying not to think about how long, its going to take to complete the visits and get the final approval. All I can think about it getting it done and loosing the weight. I know it will go by fast buy I just hope the approval process is not to long since that will be close to the holidays when I am complete.
  21. I plan on taking no more than 2 weeks even though the doctor says I should be a go return after 1 week. Should I tell my boss or just let him know I am having a medical procedure and need to tame some. I just don't want my procedure to be the talk of the office.
