I snack often. I try to include protein most of the time. String cheese helps or baby bell light cheese. Also I discovered quest protein bars and order them by the box. They are all natural , 20 grams protein per bar and only between 160 to 200 calories. They have about none different flavors , some taste great other flavors are just ok. They use natural sweeteners and no sugar.

If you have no choice the best of the worst fast food restaurant is Burger King. I'm not a big fan but they do flame cook the burgers so the fat drips out Most all of the other fast food joints fry the burgers. Chicken mcnuggets , poison!

wheeling replied to FRED1977's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery on June 19th. Was 294 Lost 10 on pre op. today weight is 227. Down 67. Very happy. I like Fred, eat 5 or so very small meals. I hit the gym regularly. I can't eat much at a time so the small meals help. My doc preferred me to eat three meals no more. But had trouble with that. My goal is to get down to 210. -
Can't stop losing!
wheeling replied to SkinnyGirlNC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been very fortunate with my weight loss. I was sleeved June 19 th. as of this morning ( sept 26) I am down 65 pounds! The weight loss has slowed down somewhat but the gym has really helped me with the slow periods. I was 294 before surgery, now 229. I am tall somewhat 6'0. My surgeon says I need to lose only about 10 more pounds , but I d like to be around 210. As for the person who has lost only 20 pounds, trying exercising regularly. It will help so much. It has helped me more than words can say. -
I was sleeved June 19th and stalled 2 weeks out. Very common. Your body is healing and holding onto the weight. I stalled for a week and it started dropping again. Just do what u are doing , sip water and walk if u can. The weight will start to drop like crazy. Down 57 pounds since pre op diet.

Thanks for the advise. A lot of the problem foods for me now are proteins. And that's not good since protein is supposed to be our staple. I will keep plugging along. The thing that helps is the big weight loss.

Monday marks the day that I will sleeved 8 weeks ago. I am now in solid foods but just can't do it. I struggle with solid foods that I don't look forward to eating at all. I'm down 55 pounds and feel great except of a kidney stone I'm trying to pass. Anyone else just can't eat like myself? I want the soft foods but my doc says that's the gateway to gaining the weight back. The thought of some solid food just gags me.

Today started fine but is not going good. I was at work and my urine was orange! Drank a lot of water and the urine got better. But what has me worried now is since I got home from work I constantly feel hard pressure on my bladder like I have to urinate but cannot. It is very uncomfortable. Any reason for this ? Any helps?

1-week stall....REALLY?!
wheeling replied to CorvetteGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The main thing u have to realize is at one week out from surgery your body is in healing mode and not weight loss mode. It holds onto the weight for now. I had a week stall also. Keep drinking the water and protein and the weight will start dropping. Believe me. Down 47 in 7 weeks including the stall.
