  1. Is there a liquid to solid food progression? Please don't post pro or anti weight loss surgeries.
  2. Just wondering...I'm in the getting approval from insurance stage. United Healthcare asked my doctors office to get me a psych eval and dietician meeting. Dr office going to clarify why with them tomorrow. No dilation, erosion, dysphagia. Had egd. Just a slip revealing an esophageal motility issue. Lost 25lbs in 3 weeks. Band has no fill since Oct. 2013.
  3. I have option of sleeve or band and I was wondering what the else veterans think.
  4. Never mind. Found other thread with good posts
  5. To put it lightly their office staff is incompetent. I have an EGD scheduled for tomorrow and no one prep me on what to do and do not. Show up at 7:30am and bring copay. Two bit office.
  6. Hey all, My Doc says he only works with the Realize band. Is this a deal breaker and should I go find a lap band Doctor? Mamoo
  7. Hi everyone, Long time lurker, first time poster. My insurance covers the lap band surgery at UT Mist and I was wondering what's the word on them. 1/3/13 I've had initial consultation with Dr Richard Englehardt. Weight 290lbs, recommends losing 14lbs before banding. It went well, but his staff kinda worries me. 1/15/13 The dietician I met appeared to be a more meat for the grinder personality. Callous comes to mind. How much do patients rely on dietician after band? 1/23/13 i've had psych consult, apparently I'm a good for procedure. But I have to have an EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy) for insurance reasons. Should I be concerned that I've called their office twice and left messages and no one returns my call? I understand it may take 3-6 months before banding but is there a reason to delay EGD? Any advice or comments would be appreciated Mamoo
