  1. I didn't have a drain and didn't even stay overnight at Puget Sound Surgical center in Edmonds,Wa. I went to Hotel and came back in am the IVs to fill me w fluids. I felt great on day 4. I love cooking, so I find it hard not to test sauces etc...you should definitely go back and talk to someone good luck

  3. Sleeved 2/28 and feel great. Started pre op 2/14 and 3/8 lost total 31lbs. (19 on pre op) Saw surgeon and he was impressed with how good I feel. I truely believe it is due to: Walking daily prior to surgery- Quitting smoking 2 months prior- Not cheating on pre-op- Walking lots post up...even day 2...walking around every 15 minutes- sugar free lollipops days 1-4 for fluids. I feel back to normal, truthly better than normal. (I self paid and my insurance would not pay for complications, so that is why I was careful to do what I was told) [ATTACH]10260[/ATTACH]
  4. I am also an open book. Everyone at work supports me and so do friends and family. I know people that have suddenly lost weight fast and say they have been working out etc..and people are talking behind their backs that they think they are lying and had surgery. Whether they did or didn't, I didn't want that.for myself. I just told people how I walk everyday and cannot lose weight. I have a bad back and if I do not lose weight then would need back surgery so I chose weight loss instead. It is your personal preference. Good Luck!

    2/28 sleeved and haven't done either but I know from sister's experience....use tongs ...
  9. I was sleeved 2/28 and sugar free popsicles are my favorite thing. I have about 5 a day. Don't always finish them before they drip away.

    I am SLeeved!

    Well doing quite well. Sleeved yesterday at 7 am. Was in recovery until about 4 pm due to really low blood pressure 81/47. When bp finally normal, went to hotel. Woke up every two hours. Went back to Dr. At 7:30am today and got iv fluids. Been walking every hour around inside of house. Enjoys sugar free popsicles...well lying down I have no pain ..heat pad helps. So glad day 2 was better.

    February Sleevers

    Well heading 85 miles south to check in hotel down by Seattle. Surgery at 6:30 am . Wishing smooth sailing for all of you...phew! Thankful to have my sister who had gastric bypass about 12 years ago and her two kids had the sleeve...so she is very experienced and coming home from Kauai vacation to be w me. Better go her plane lands at Sea tac at 10 pm.....

    Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?

    I just got app too.....I signed up for the Color Run 5k in Seattle in June. My surgery in 2/28....I already walk daily for about 8 months but want to run it.
