Well my surgery has been rescheduled for the 30th of April

Well I have just ordered my UNJURY protein and vitamin. Trying to get everything in order. I'm so ready for this change. I pray blessing on each one of you...

Is there any one on here that has used dr. Mora in Prattville, AL? Would like to know a bout your experience. Thanks

I am new to posting on this site but I started this journey in August 2012 and got my Approval in less than 4 hours today!!!!!! Yeah me! I am set for preop on April 10th and surgery on April 23. My birthday is the 22nd so I am just beyond excited because my "new" life begins 38yrs after my original started....how cool is that. I am however very nervous about this surgery because of the rerouting, that REALLY freaks me out!! Please share ur thoughts and comments about this procedure. I wanted to do the sleeve but my Dr. Has not started it and not sure when he will. I had "gotten comfortable" with my decision on the sleeve but know I am changing. Thanks in advance for the comments

You know we already dread waiting the 6 or 7 mo to do all this hoop jumping but to have to wait for a Dr. To just sign an evaluation and fax it over is just ridiculous. I had my Pysc eval on the 11th and she said they would have it faxed by the end if the week....well guess what no she didn't. Know a 1 1/2 week later dr Dr. Is out til Saturday and then he may sign it and fax it. HELLO you would think the nurse that did the evaluation would know how important and how anxious I am being that she had WLS a few years ago. Just had to vent, I guess another week won't kill me but I sure don't like it...

Maybe your right. I did call my coordinator and she said that is all she is waiting on so maybe she will get it Monday.

OMG...I absolutely hated the sleep study and of course I had to have 2. That stuff they put in ur hair was terrible and the next morning I couldn't even take a shower and the tech said "I'm glad it's still dark outside because your hair looks awful"....lol. Oh well I'm just sssooooo ready to hv this done and start my "new" life

I am finishing up my required appointments this week so I started my preop diet 2 weeks ago. I just wanted to get ahead of the game and be ready when they say surgery...lol. My diet consist of slim fast twice a day and 500 cal dinner. I have been doing this for 2 weeks and have only lost 3lbs. So worried that I am not going to loose enough to shrink the liver and hv the surgery. This is so frustrating because I gave up sweet tea (completely) and my bowl of cereal at night. You would think by giving that up I would loose 10lbs...lol

You are not alone..this is all I think about. I started this journey in August and have 2 more weigh ins. I have stalked this forum for several months before joining. I am so addicted to it, I am constantly reading post during my lunch and when I'm name I am always on my iPad. My husband is very supportive but I bet he will glad when it's over so I will pay him a little attention...lol. Best of luck to you.

Good for her, I know she is excited. I would love to reach my goal of 150. I would just beside myself. My husband support my decision for sleeve but was totally against the bypass. I am a little concerned because Dr. Mora will be starting the sleeve in Jan. he has though been doing the bypass and lap band since early 1990's.

I still have two months before submit ten to insurance. I am so ready. How are you feeling? Any regrets so far?

I am about 3 month out (hopefully) from having surgery. My two biggest fears are having a leak and loosing my hair. Can someone that has experienced these comment on how bad it was an how you felt with it. Thanks in advance

Thanks so much for the insight. I have really thick hair as well but my solution to hair loss is just cut it short. I also agree I would rather be Shynad Oconner than fat..(lol). I can't wait to hv surgery and be on the losers side. Thanks again.

I'm so glad I saw this topic. I'm in the middle of my journey and about 3 months out from submitting to insurance and I have wondered if some people regret doing this. But it's nice to hear that you didn't. I am so excited about this journey and wish it was already done. Thanks for the encouragement.

Hi my name is Crystal and I am 37 yrs old. I have been married to my best friend for 18 years. We have 2 very active boys that are 14 and 6. I have been over weight my whole life. I have a very high BMI and sleep apnea. I started this journey in August of this year and have 2months of monitored weight checks and a physiologist visit to go before they send to insurance for approval. I am really nervous about this. I have visited this site just about every day for the past few months and finally decided to join. I love reading all the journeys of everyone. I pray that everyone has continued success.
