I have been banded 1 year with no fills. To tell you the truth the idea of a needle being put in my belly scares the hell out of me, but I have been stuck at 180 lbs. I want the last 20-30lbs to go away. Do you think I should get a fill? I also feel that I could snack all day long, especially when I am home. I have been going to the gym every week 3-4 times a week and still havent seen any improvement on the scale or my clothes. Please help. -

The only reason to replace it, would be the calories. You can always make up the protein.

Almond milk is so good. The only thing is it doesnt have the protein that regular milk has. I dont know if you have ultra skim milk, but it is really good and tastes just like 2% milk.

What foods do you eat that have the highest fat grams.

30 grams of fat a day. 60-80 grams of protein. try to eat 20 grams for every meal, thats the easiest and it will keep you fuller longer. Your plate will consist of 3-4 oz of protein, 1/2 cup of vegetables and 1/2 cup of a starch.

Well I have been using is My Fitness Pal. I have an iphone so I can do it on there and you can download it for you laptop also. I have been doing 1200 calories, 30 g of Fat, 60-80g of Protein a day. My fitness pal will help you with all of that. You just go and set your goals and keep track of them every day, till you get the hang of it. I see that you have only 2 glasses of water a day. What else have you been drinking.

I had my surgery Feb 2013 and have lost 66 pounds without exercise. i just watched what I ate. I dont have any fluid in my band, but I have reached a plateau. I joined the gym with a friend so her and I can be each others support. I cant believe that your doctor hasnt helped you. I see my doctors PA every 4-6 weeks and she is very helpful. She has taught me how to eat with the band. What she has taught me the most is that you need atleast 60-80 grams of protein a day. So you need to eat atleast 20 grams at each meal. If you snack on anything between meals make sure it is a protein snack. She also taught me that if the snack has more than 100 calories, it is considered a meal. message me if you need any support.

I also use My Fitness Pal, which was a recommendation from my surgeons PA and it has been working great. -

I had my surgery on Feb 21, 2013, and so far havent had any fills. I have lost 37 pounds so far. An average of 2 pounds per week. My surgeons PA said that I dont need fills that I am doing good with just the band.
