I have bounced weights for years and years, allot of times no one noticed any hanging flesh on me, I had a small tummy bulge but arms were easy to exercise away that which your worried over. At 20 you shouldn't need to think that, you should only think of when you can modify a work out to rid your body of all that. -

So young still, not me so much, I think that toning can be natural allot of the time, given you exercise some that you may tone up better in time than you expect right now of this, procedures are long away and you shouldn't need it as a goal if at all maybe even. -

11 days out, I feel better, have a good loss now and slept better last night. First days, I hurt, was not comfortable moving or sleeping, was on pain medications, hadn't relieved myself but intake of water was getting easier and building inside me. Once you pee more and then some you'll rid yourself of whats building up in you now, later and past stuff too a bit. After you can walk more it helps too. I am 11 days and more comfortable, do my duty nicely on time allot, drink allot, allot, allot of water, broth and tea, I can sleep and also I am off that g*d awful pain medicine which helps but the more you take the little differences add up if you can see the point, I am ready for light exercise and a few days until soft foods. Now is not the time to worry of this, give it a few days.Lots of luck. -

hey, that's tremendous paintball, 46 pd.s, wow. I am now 26 pd.s pre weigh in to now. Haven't been to a gym though, holly crow, what a difference that's making.Frankly I am a little intimidated to use any work out early but was told it's ok. -
Dissappointed by surgeon's goal
.......... replied to erp's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My thought is that it is a number that the surgeon sees as a passable goal worthy as success in doing it, the rest is up to you really, I can't see that as defining all you do after surgery and all you can lose when the choices for success are yours not his alone. -
Down 123 in 6 mo but getting concerned..

wls friendly recipes web site has a whole bunch but its a bit of a blitz to read them all and think you might not go over board, if you did use these be careful and choose wisely what you want and do. I'd not want to be the catalyst for bad things, http://www.emilybite...label/Chocolate -
I hear ya, 10 days out after I dropped pain med 3 days ago I had some kind of need for a smoke again, didn't cheat at eats though.

Feeling discouraged--sleeved Dec 3
.......... replied to MaryDrew's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Also, if you don't mind I just wanted to add for MaryDrew, I don't want to be a negative bummer for you here, the diets are what you make them, when it comes time to challenge this on your own keep in mind you get out what you put into the diet menu I guess, that sounds more possitive than just to say I lost more or most via strict diet, a pound a day seems a fair and good average to a normal diet, I see why it is you'd expected to lose more but challenge yourself a little more here and there and keep losing that pound, lots of luck. -

Exactly and only; decaf coffee or tea, fat free low salt broths, crystal light, fruit20, herbal tea, sugar free popsicles, artificial sweeteners. specified Protein low sugar drink > 2 oz X 3 daily breakfats, lunch, dinner. until christmas day. Thats it on the 2 stage to my diet, second progression added diced meats and vegies, start with week # 1; eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, 3 x 2oz. per day and no Protein drinks any more, progression last 1 month 1 week, and then I add protein grams with all the added stuff. 50 to 60 per day. No carbs, no fruits, lowest sugar, lowest fat. week 1 yogurt, egg. cottage cheese, week 2 fish, week 3 chicken, week 4 beef&cheeses, week 5 add to 50 60 grams. Thats my entire diet. -
Yes and make it Fat free Pam olive oil spray, then fry it don't submerge in oil at all. I have a george Forman grill, season, add marinade maybe and then spray and quick cooked fish dish. That oil, yikes, I have warnings all over my paperwork for next stage diet, no fats !! Poached, baked, canned.

I think diets are different when some one loses allot than when not. I have only a few things I am allowed, other people seem to get dilutted drinks, juic, milk, and next step cereal & more prtein drinks etc.., none of which my doctor allows. My loss is higher after 10 days only. -
I can tell now thats its there and smaller, but its been sore today, I stopped my opiate pain meds 3 days ago and am 10 days out now, using liquid tylenol and its not the same as. I was also worried to move about after and that has gotten better though as I feel less streeses in moving and lying down in the stomach it seems, just that its healed enough already to now move around easier. I have the thought that once all else surrounding it shrinks I may better be able to tell its size as a feeling better, the cushion is shrinking now still but it also is in the way to much to tell although upper belly is shrunk some too. So feeling is more confidant to move around and not so much that I can tell the size exact though 10 days out.

I used them pre op from http://www.nuts.com/...ds/premium.html http://www.nuts.com/...ds/organic.html -
Unsure on those tips but surgeon just warned me saying people start to experience this some times after a month or two. and I think it may pass after a few, so is normal I think that you do have Nausia.

Post-op Bowel Changes?
.......... replied to NathanF's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Would be nice to hear more on this for me too. Right now I am pretty settled compared to what I read from others. Had no need as of yet for gas x strip or beano any time soon but do you need much of them long after months have past ? I'd be concerned that second 6 months out gassiness was trully as troubling though. -
I did a bunch of dental way pre-op, now I am missing teeth but still went through with surgery, I have no probs now but also don't expect them just from conversion to solid food, you may have some exsisting probs to address.

Wine or no Wine?
.......... replied to ThinnerTiff's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe if its sips alone and not full glasses, have a spill not a glass, they say it will get you very drunk now. I don't drink at all but I can see a point in very much moderation of the moment at this point for you people, otherwise I couldn't say accept that I read of it and heard at groups. -
My taste buds are dead :'(
.......... replied to preyaa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am not allowed any fruits or fruit drinks and for the long haul this is my recomeneded diet plan after post op diets end. I am enjoying broths and herbal teas w/equal sweetener right now though and 9 days out. -
Diet has another 4 days of 2 oz, clear liquids X 3 daily, and , then some small bits solid added, same 2 oz. X3 daily, which is my stage 2 it has no puree, but cut up 2 0z. meals of egg, yogurt and cottage cheese, week 2 add fish, week 3 add chicken, week 4 add beef and cheeses. On 1/22/13 work out higher number for protein working the same method. But no carbs, bread, cereal, or fruits, least or no sugars or fats all the way throuigh.

Sorry to hear that, I am 9 days out but had the oposite experience, I have no apetite worth speaking off and am on this crazy post op diet as you have to be too. Take it slow and work it out, I hope you are OK later with it all.
