Before we go any further....
New Hope replied to Butta's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
That is TOO good! Glad to "know" you a little better! -
I usually make my own the night before. Those usually tend to be a little dry.
-
Please be careful with abs. You don't want to unseat your band. Boy, you must be feeling good!
-
I donated all my "fat" clothes to a local shelter a month ago. I had one pair of pants, one dress, some t-shirts, and shorts left. My husband asked me if I thought I should "hang onto some of them". I said, "NO! I'm never going to wear them again." Now, I can't regain my weight. I gave everything away. Wait, I don't have anything now. O.K., good thing the clearance sales are going on!
-
Please take it easy and let yourself heal. Do you have a neighbor or someone from your church that can help you with your baby? Please just try to take it one day at a time. I know that's very hard. But you will get feeling better eacy day. Best of luck to you!
-
Ryan, get all of this stuff checked out now! Then you can really appreciate your band even more. It does sound like you have an excellent surgeon.

:Bunny :Bunny :banana :banana :Bunny :Bunny :banana :banana Look out world! Here comes Betty! I'm so excited for you!!!

I take Liquid Naturals "Joint Care" liquid Glucosamine (2000 mg), plus chondroitin, MSM, & Collagen. It's $20 at Sam's Wholesale Club, 33 oz. bottle. Orange flavor, pleasant tasting. I've also started taking their "Liquid Minerals". It's got 74 minerals, aloe vera, vit. C, antioxidants. Same size, price, place. Green lemon-lime flavor. (It's sounds a lot like the liquid Vitamins Penni was recommending.) O.K., I've read you enough info. Keep them refrigerated after opening.
-
Mmmm, mmmm, rotisseire Veronica!
-
O.K., Betty, it's after 2 p.m. The dr. office should all be back from lunch. Give them a phone call and let us know about your surgery date. The suspense is too much! LOL I AM so happy for you! I can't think of a nicer person to get healthier with! O.K., make that call!
-
Becky, you are TOO funny! If my husband tried to twirl me around, we'd be having to call the jaws of life ASAP!
-
No matter what type of insurance you have, you have the right to be treated courteously and respectively! If your second visit doesn't go any better, you might think about seeing another dr. He/she definitely needs to be in your corner! The patients are what pay for the nice lifestyle that he/she has become accustomed to. Keep your head up!
-
I don't have that insurance but I wanted to encourage you and wish you the best of luck!
-
What is hummus?
-
And you are beautiful! I know your husband and kids think so - even if they don't tell you enough. Great NSV!
-
"Nervous and excited". That pretty well wraps it up! Best of luck to you on your journey. Please research and get all the info. you can to help you. Best of luck to you!
-
Veronica, Congratulations on the 25 lbs. GONE!
-
Amanda, are you banded yet? If so, when and where? Inquiring, nosey minds want to know!
-
Thanks, Alex! That makes sense! I have also had some chest congestion so I can see where that could affect restriction. This little band keeps us on our toes! Shireen, you'll feel a little pressure, then a pin prick. But it's really not bad. You probably won't even need a bandaid.
-
Darcy, great job! You're "movin' on down"! Penni, you've been under a lot of stress lately! One lb. is nothing! I recently gained 2, then juggled them back and forth for 2 weeks. Lisa, Happy "UnBirthday"! But you know what the alternative to "not getting older" is, don't you? I know you don't want THAT! Is this a NSV or a Scale victory? I finally weigh less than my husband! Of course, he's several inches taller than me. That is so embarrassing and something I would have never admitted anywhere but here!
-
Well, your job better get used to it, because you will be going to "tee-tee" a LOT after you're banded and you keep drinking all of your water load! Good luck!
-
Yeah, but way too much sodium! LOL Boy, isn't it amazing how we start analysing food contents once we're banded? Who would have thought that I'd ever worry about sodium content and grams of protein. I actually bypassed a Snickers in the grocery checkout line because I thought those 240 calories would make a Bandster meal! The old me certainly wouldn't have been thinking like that!
-
Katie, you're not weird! It sounds like you're healing well. Remember, your band is empty. There is nothing in there right now to "curb your appetite". Please concentrate on eating nutriously. Whatever you eat, make sure it tastes good. Refried beans (Taco Bell) are very tasty mushies.

OMG I have a date with the Lap Band...

I'm crossing my fingers, eyes, and toes for you. Please hurry, I'm getting a headache! LOL:D -
O.K., Zoe, are you snacking on pig ears? LOL:)
