Congratulations, Nancy! We look forward to hearing from you after your surgeries.
-
Wow, Darcey, what does all of that mean? Aren't you glad you've lost so much weight before you made this career change?
-
Wow, Corgi, great job on the weight loss and glad you're feeling so well. And congratulations, aren't mushies wonderful? LOL
-
16 pounds gone? Great! A fill should be scheduled when you are eating hard proteins regularly, following all the banding rules, and not losing weight for an extended period of time. This can vary per individual. We have a bandster that waited 9 months and lost over 60 pounds before her first fill. Some rare bandsters have lost their weight with no fills.

Jenna, I waited until my dr. released me for more strenous exercise. But you can do things like walking, treadmill, etc. Just listen to your body, if it hurts, don't do it.
-
Best of luck to you! Please be sure that you have appropriate after care lined up BEFORE your surgery.
-
So glad that you're doing so well with your band. But sorry to hear about your Father's health and your troubles with your house. Hope you get some positive answers for both.
-
Best of luck to you for a successful surgery and quick recovery.
-
You're doing great! And we're not going to beat you up over 3 little cookies.
-
Jenna, that's wonderful! Running? Yikes, what's that? LOL

If you have large solid pills (not time released), a lot of them can be dissolved in a large tablespoon of water. Then wash them through with plenty of water afterwards. If you're taking prescription meds., as you lose weight, the dosage may need to be adjusted. Your doctor should be the one to advise you. (Ex. blood pressure, diabetes, asthma)

Tanya, I really hope you're having an easy recovery! Can't wait to hear about your banding. Congratulations! -
Nykee, it's looking good. You might want to try some foods that you have to chew, they'll stay with you longer. Keep up the good work!
-
Congratulations, Kris! How much weight would you like to lose?
-
Isa, best of luck to you and hope both surgeries are uneventful and easy recoveries. Congratulations!

Tanya, best of luck to you!!! (((Hugs))) and prayers for a safe surgery and easy recovery. Please post and let us know how you're doing when you feel like it. -
Donali, you have been so successful in your weight loss in a really short length of time. Would you please share some of your winning weight loss secrets? In an average day, what are number of meals, and what each meal consists of? Do you weigh and measure your food before eating --- always? Fluids, how much do you try to intake on a given day? Exercise, what form do you enjoy and routinely use? I am so in awe of you. I want to do what I possible can to have a fraction of the success that you have. Any info. that you can share will be greatly appreciated by us lowly peon bandsters.
-
Not sure about that one. Why would someone get the band and not want to work with it? Please do lots of research before you make any decisions to help you decide if the band is right for you. A "search" (located at top of page) will give you lots of answers to various questions. Best of luck to you!

Nykee, how long did it take you to lose the 41 pounds? That is a very wonderful weight loss! The reason for eating hard Proteins and vegetables are so you'll feel full longer. The band is made to work w/solid foods, not liquids. If you're drinking a lot of liquid calories, it's not going to matter how tight you're filled. The liquids go right through your band and leave you still feeling hungry, so you'll just drink more calories, and it's a vicious cycle. This will slow your weight loss down. You say you don't cook. How about picking up some of the Starkist "Tuna Creations"? How about some low-calorie frozen dinners? They're not good for all of the time because they have a high sodium (salt) content. Do you eat salads? There are healthy alternatives out there without having to cook. I am so proud of you for using Fitday and being responsible. We're all trying to learn how to eat healthier, Nykee. None of us have been able to do it on our own. That's why we got a band. Have you tried using a recumbant stationary bicycle? That should be easier for your back. Hang in there and please be proud of the job you've done so far. (((Hugs)))

Is she licensed by Inamed? If you had complications, would your band dr. help you? Where does she do the fills at? In a sterile environment?
-
Oh, Terri, that's asking for trouble! What if this woman gave you too much, used the wrong type of needle, damaged your port, (the list of problems is endless)? Please only let someone (banding dr. or his/her trained assistant) who's been properly trained get near your port. It may be tempting to save $$ and time, but it could possibly cost you your band in the long run. Please take care of yourself.
-
Vera, you have such a fantastic attitude! ((Hugs)) and prayers girl, that you get what you want and it's fixed for good.
-
Yeah, Michelle, do a glamour shot! I mean this is going to be around for years! Might as well make it the best you can.
-
Oh, Michelle, I am so proud of you!! You have been a model bandster and I can't think of a higher honor than for your Band Surgeon to recognize that! When you get your pictures, please post them here so we can all enjoy them. 84 pounds in less than a year is absolutely amazing! Of course, being drop dead gorgeous certainly doesn't hurt anything! I hope they do color shots so your vivid blue eyes show up. Congratulations and please keep us updated! P.S. Can I have an autographed pic?

Welcome and congratulations on your upcoming banding! I'm a "show-me" kind of person too. LOL
