Well, then go get a good night's sleep, girl! You'll do fine! Let us know how it goes.

Dr. Javier De la Garza- Monterray Mexico
New Hope replied to amoro68's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Did you try doing a "search" here with his name? I'm sure some of our many Mexican Bandsters will be on here tomorrow and give you some answers. Just please be sure that you've researched your surgeon and the hospital thoroughly. Find out how long he's been banding patients, what type of band will you receive, any patient complaints, his aftercare program (is he easy to contact). Please have your aftercare lined up. If you plan to have an American fill dr., then call that dr. direct and confirm that he/she will accept a Mexican Banded patients. Many will not. You must know what your aftercare plans are for your band to continue to function and in the event of an emergency. Best of luck to you for a safe surgery and healthy recovery! -
P. S. I was 18, DH was 19 when we got married. His parents had to sign for him! Honestly, we grew up together! Plenty of highs and lows, but never any boredom. And a lot of hamburger helper! LOL I honestly don't remember my life pre-marriage. (That was back before the earth cooled.)
-
Vera, would Hunter do an updated pose for us? He's such a cutie!!!
-
Jonathan, great pictures showing what was and what is to come! Congratulations on your upcoming banding!
-
Trish, I must have missed your post! Best of luck tomorrow! Don't worry about trying to sleep tonight, you're probably too wound up. You can rest tomorrow after you get your band. Sending you (((hugs))) and prayers that all will go well and you'll have minimum recovery pain. Please post here and let us know how you're doing as soon as you comfortably can. Your new life begins in just a few short hours! Congratulations, Baby Band Sister!!
-
Rachel, please put a framed copy of that picture on your nightstand so you see it first thing when you wake up in the a.m. You both just radiate love! A beautiful, loving, strong couple!
-
Ryan, I bet "Gross Darcy" will help you find them! She's just that kind of gal!
-
Hey, Janie, I was just wondering about you! How are the murals coming along?
-
Rachel, I'm certainly no expert, but I would think that most of those divorces had other problems before the weight loss. Do you and your husband communicate pretty openly? I'm fortunate to have been married to my best friend. He was here through my weight gain and I sure hope he'll be here as I continue losing. I hope we're in this for the long haul! And I hope you are too!
-
Hmmm, I remember something about some thongs.
-
Sounds like you're getting the hang of it. Pretty soon you'll know where all the bathrooms are in your local grocery stores. (Just a hint, banks and libraries always have nice, clean bathrooms as opposed to convenience stores.)
-
Leatha - the "other" LBT vixen!
-
Tammy, you want to take the time to know that your insurance is covering your procedure, before you do anything. Please use this time to learn as much as you can about the band. There's a lot to learn -before and afterwards. My insurance first denied me, I appealed, 8 months later got my band. Good things take time! But they're definitely worth it!
-
Good description, Jammin'! And wait an hour after eating, before drinking anything. Same reason.
-
Get in the habit of drinking tons of water, but not w/meals or one hour afterwards. Wear your favorite clothes, before they're forever too big. Yeah!
-
Whew, now you can sleep better...no fear of band repossessing! What do you plan on doing w/that $$ now? I think a little vacation of fun and relaxation is called for!
-
Donna, I agree w/both of these gals! How much weight are you wanting to lose? I've been a slacker over the holidays and not losing. But not gaining either! It's my own fault-too many high carb, soft foods. But now it's back to work! If you work with your band, follow the Bandster rules (on food- types/amounts, exercise, water) - you are going to lose weight. I'm bull-headed enough that I'll try to prove any statistics wrong. I plan to beat those odds! Best of luck to you!
-
That's great! Keep up the good work! And even when those scales don't always show a change, you'll notice it in the way your clothes fit.
-
Someone tell Donali's sweetie to hurry home before this girl gets into trouble! Donali, you are a little vixen!
-
What part of Colorado are you covering? Is this just for Dr. Kuri's patients and future patients?
-
Wow, Kathy, you're definitely doing something right! That is a huge chunk of weight in such a short time! Congratulations on being banded, happily married, great kids, and grandkids. Aren't you glad you feel better and can get out and enjoy that great family more now? There are others here that have the Swedish band. Keep up the good work!
-
Lynn, search the threads for "esophagitis". Michelle has a very thorough thread about her experience with this. See if this sounds familiar. Hope it helps! P. S. You really have done well on your weight loss! Hope you get better!
-
Diana, do a "Search" for Kuri (at the top). There are several Kuri patients here. Sure you'll get some feedback. Good luck!

constipation (not for those that get queasy)

LOL, Pat! I don't discuss these problems with anyone else! LOL
