Sure, come on down! I'll only need to fix 4 chops for 12 people, right? LOL
-
Even in my fattest, yukkiest days, I might have looked like something the cat drug in, but I always got complimented for smelling good. Scents do so much to lift your spirits.
-
Tonight, grilled pork chops, cinnamon & brown sugared apple slices, steamed oriental vegetables, blackberry cobbler.....bandster bites.

Congratulations on your upcoming banding! -
Welcome, Brissie, congratulations on your upcoming banding! You're in for a wonderful life change. Not all bandsters have problems w/gas and/or belching. I have no more problems than I did preband. We look forward to getting to know you better on LBT.

I never order through the mail...clothes or shoes. They vary too much, from one brand to the next.
-
Will, you'll do fine! Get that band, get those smaller clothes - in styles and colors that you really like. Then get that Harley and/or convertible and hit the road! Betty has both and she's having a blast.
-
Christina, best of luck to you on Monday, 3/14/05, as you get your band! We can't wait to hear back from you ...when you feel like it. Hugs and prayers for a successful surgery and quick recovery!
-
Corgi, hugs and prayers for a noneventful surgery and easy recovery. Please let us know how you're doing when you feel like it.
-
Christina, what is the reason they're giving you for the denial? Do you know for sure that they cover the adjustable gastric lapband procedure (not the gastric bypass)?

Jamie, can't wait to hear all is well! Prayers and hugs to you. -
I've hung onto a beautiful size 3 sweater from Sakowitz. I'm in a 10 now. Who knows, maybe!
-
Alice, if you'll pm me what you'd like it changed to, I'll contact Mr. Alex to change it for you. It may take a couple of days for him to get it changed.

New Hope replied to Sharon T - PA's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Good for you, Sharon! This is a long-term relationship and you want a band surgeon (and staff) that's competent, available, and professional when you need them. -
Sharon, did you get that "deer in the headlights" look? Sorry, Kelly, but I hate to pb! Yuk!
-
Dlynn, I merged both your threads since they're on the same topic and you'll be able to get more responses easier.

Reality check & average weight losses....

Thanks, Paula! That's very encouraging news. P.S. You really are doing great! -
Most people get their band placed in the hospital operating room or in a surgi-center. I'm not familiar w/anyone getting one in the dr's office.
-
Brandi, you won't know until you try! Best of luck to you! My pre-existing health problems qualified me for the band. How sad that we have to look for serious health problems in order to get better health! Hopefully, some day the insurance companies will wake up and realize what a wonderful preventative tool the band is...to help people manage their weight before those issues happen.

#1 Worry-Stop Thinking Just DO IT
New Hope replied to I'llsucceed's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Christina, fight the insurance company. I was denied, appealed, and got my band. You can do it! Did they give you any reasons for denial? -
Crystal, best of luck to you on Monday, 03/14/05 as you get that long awaited little tool (a BAND!!) to help you regain your life. (((Hugs))) and prayers for a successful surgery and quick recovery. Please take it easy this weekend and keep your asthma under control. Hopefully, very, very soon, you can start chunking some of those inhalers, RXS, and nebulizers for good...and get back on that horse.
