Terri, best of luck to you! Please keep us posted.
-
But, Donali, YOU ARE OUR INSPIRATION FAIRY!!!
-
What type food are you eating? How soon after you eat, are you lying down? Try elevating the head of your bed on some blocks and sleeping like that. I've been doing that for years for reflux. If this problem continues, please see your dr. Reflux should not be ignored. Best of luck to you!

Where were you banded? What is an average day's menu for you? How much water do you drink a day?
-
Day Five: Breakfast - 1 scrambled egg, 1 veg. sausage patty glass - fat-free milk Lunch - grilled boudain, 2 tbl. chicken salad, 2 low-fat ritz crackers. sugar-free choc. pudding Dinner - grilled boudain, 1/4 grilled pork chop, green beans, sugar-free choc. pudding Snacks - 3 cubes cheese, 3 low-fat ritz crackers, boiled egg, sugar-free choc. pudding Wow, I've done horrible today! I'm starving and grazing bad! Water - not good. Could that be the connection? Exercise - cleaned and vacuumed house. (slacker) Worked my jaws out (over eating). Took a nap. Good Deed - went w/ hubby to buy COFFEE for his office, at Walmart, fighting through the "back to schoolers", and I don't even drink coffee. Bought a 2 yr. old a birthday present, and his 5 yr. old brother (non birthdayer) a gift also.

That's a little creepy! Does he really know who you are (your name, address, phone)? I don't know anything about this type of problem, but it seems like your right to privacy has been sorely abused! Doesn't that website have to have a disclaimer stating what it is being used for. It seems like any patient has the right to know who has access to your postings and what your postings can be used for. And this is over you eating a few chips? Did you have complications from the chips? Had you contacted him for help regarding the chips eating? Wow, there has to be someone or someplace that can give you some straight answers! Best of luck to you!

Terri, do you have any health problems, in addition to the sleep apnea? high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, hiatal hernia, gastric reflux, arthritis, ect.? Have you tried other methods of weight loss? Slimfast, Weight Watchers, Atkins Diet, Metolife, dr. supervised diets, diet plans from friends and/or magazines, fasting, etc? Anything that you can remember, make a list of and give your dr. to help document your medical need for the surgery for your insurance company to make a decsion. Do you know for a fact that your health insurance covers the Lapband procedure? Have you checked w/ your insurance coordinator to find out if weight loss surgery is a specific exclusion in your ins. policy? Some cover all weight loss surgery, others only gastric by pass, while others exclude all weight loss surgery. Are you prepared to appeal, if you're denied? Good luck on your quest!

Tina, as far as "being normal", I gave up on that one a long time ago.
-
So basically, DH just depends on the mood you're in at the time you're using it. Oh, I see!
-
Tina, I'm curious what a daily menu is for you. Please don't get discouraged! Some days are great, others I seem like I'm starving to death. I don't think anyone has figured out the rhyme or reason yet. Please give yourself time to recover from the surgery. They say any weight lost before your first fill is a plus. So you're 12 lbs. ahead of the game!

O.K. from some of the posts, I was afraid it meant "Dumb Husband." And I thought LOL meant "Lots of Luck". Boy, I'm behind the times!
-
Yea, Alex!! I've also always had everything come slow. Our first son, 8 years after marriage, 2nd one 3 1/2 yrs. later -- both adopted and healthy. But maybe we appreciate things more - because they don't come easy and we don't take them for granted. I'm so happy for you!
-
O.K., then what does DH mean?
-
I find them at the grocery store or at the meat market. I think they originated in Lousiana.
-
Boudain - It's a wonderful Cajun sausage, stuffed w/rice and spicey. Hey, is it just me or have you been extremely sleepy the last couple of days? I'm ashamed to admit it, but I took a nap both days. Probably because I'm not eating enough to "sustain" myself. (NOT!)
-
So now you have a neck and can wear sexy jeans! Wow! Hey, happy belated birthday!
-
So, Megan, we'll just start calling you, "J. Lo".
-
I don't have experience w/that. But sounds like the dr. might want to check for leaks. Hope you find out what's going on! Congratulations on the upcoming wedding! Please post pics.

"Golf Ball" Uncomfortable To "Bottomless Pit"

Debra, you've really done very well! Are you getting all of your liquids in? That can be tedious, but it's necessary. How about adding a Morningstar vegetable sausage patty to your scrambed egg in the a.m.? I've done that the last few days and it really seems to help hold me over. (They take about 1 1/2 min. to microwave). They really taste just like sausage and are good source of protein. I do allow myself one dessert each day. Maybe a fat-free pudding or ice cream stick. That helps my cravings. Some days I do really good, then others, I seem to stay continually hungry. It's a mystery I'm still trying to figure out. -
Day Four: Breakfast - Protein shake lunch - chicken salad, 2 low-fat ritz crackers dinner - grilled boudan, broccoli w/cheese sauce, fat-free choc. pudding Snack - 4 cubes Monterrey Jack cheese, 3 low-fat ritz crackers (1st day w/ snack, hope not going back to grazing habits.) glass of fat-free milk Exercise - 4 1/2 mi. biking Good Deed - let chihuahua keep recliner, then when she came & got in mine, gave her a long belly rub.
