Well, I've really done lousy so far. But I've gotten a shot and some antibiotics so hopefully this will start turning around by tomorrow. Tomorrow is my 32nd wedding anniversary!! Wow, that's older than many bandsters!
-
Light a fire under them, Terry! Best of luck to you!
-
Sheeanisland, it's worked out great. We celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary tomorrow!!!
-
Woo, Betty, the wheels are in motion!
-
Wow, never even thought about it! Sounds like a wise investment!
-
Glad hubby came around. Like I first posted, "If he's in your corner, it will help you succed.":)
-
Sheeanisland, so "You felt her pain"! I remember dreaming about being scared to get married. But when I woke up, I realized I was already married.

Unfortunately, we have many of those kind of drs. in the US. I've always referred to it as the "God syndrome". You'd think they'd figure out that an informed patient is going to be a happier, healthier, and better patient - in any health circumstance!
-
Congratulatons on getting your band! You've done remarkably well! Please take time and let yourself heal properly. Hang in there! You can do it!

I think Leatha has a good idea. If they could fax you a list of the preop tests needed, you could get a jump on those. All that stuff gets bogged down in time. Time to schedule initial appts, set up tests, wait for test results, etc. Then, you'll have that stuff ready to give him and be that far ahead in the game. Just be sure that you keep copies of all tests, in case you don't like him and decide to go to another Lap. dr. Do you have any current health problems?

What a beautiful grandbaby! I know you are just beaming! Congratulations on your super weight loss!
-
So those fancy pants Drs. are just know figuring out what we already knew! Wow, aren't we smart!

Well, you certainly can't help it that you're a HOT CHICK! But you are still the same sweet friend inside. -
Zoe, so glad that everything went as smoothly as possible. That's what we want to hear for everyone! Now you'll probably be feeling a little restless and frisky in a day or two. Please take it easy and let your body recover. Welcome to Bandland!
-
Debbie, Best of luck to you tomorrow on your banding! You'll do great! Just be kind to yourself and take it easy. Please keep us posted.

Nancy, that's a shame. But it sounds like the problem is her low self-esteem, not anything that you have done. Perhaps your weight loss and repackaged exterior are threatening to her. I'm glad that you were able to talk with her and be honest with each other. You both have chosen different life paths. I was a stay-at-home mom after working 8 years straight. I loved it and felt honored to be able to. Some people just aren't cut out to stay home. Perhaps she should consider a part-time job. You have done such an amazing job with your weightloss. I, personally, am very, very happy for you! I hope all works out for the best for you! -
Get you a good book to read, like "The Notebook". Watch minimal t.v. I got so sick of seeing FOOD commercials on t.v. every time it was on! AAHHH!!
-
Kim, did you have a laproscopic or open-method surgery?
-
Oh, Betty, I know that call put a little bounce in your step! (I remember that call!) Which Dr. are you checking out?
-
Yea Kimberly! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
-
Congratulations! I went through a roller coaster of emotions. That seems to be the norm. You'll do great!
-
I've never had a problem with liquids. Just take it easy. Listen to your body. If it hurts or is uncomfortable, stop. Congratulations on getting your band!
-
Hang in there, Shireen! Please try to follow your dr. orders. It gets tough. But you'll make it!
-
Run, little Hansel and Gretel, Run!!! Hang in there, girl. You can do it!
